Hitting back at the rumours they had split, Curtis insisted: ‘We’re going fantastic. Things are going really good we’ve not had one argument since leaving the villa.

‘It’s a different world in there and come out to the real world so we’ve not been able to spend every day together.’

Irish beauty Maura added of their long-distance relationship: ‘It’s good because you miss someone.’

Taking his time: Curtis, 23, revealed, ‘ I’m really happy to see where this is going. I haven’t asked her to be his girlfriend, I’m not going to do it on TV. I’m really old-fashioned…’

Revealing why she thinks they’ve been hit by split claims, she continued: ‘It’s because we don’t put everything on social media we don’t have to prove to people that we’re happy. That’s all that matters.’

Later in the show, Maura resumed her role as This Morning’s agony aunt as she dished out relationship advice to viewers.

Viewers were in stitches at her no-nonsense approach to advice, telling callers to ‘get rid’ of their cheating partners and ‘move on’ after being ghosted.

Awkward: Maura, 28, hesitated after being asked if she wanted their relationship to move forward, she added: ‘I’m happy too, so I’m happy that he’s happy..’
