Summer Monteys Fullam EXCLUSIVE ‘I would never tarnish anyone’s name’: Paul Hollywood’s ex-girlfriend hits out at claims she’s trying to ‘seek financial gain’ and insists she’s ‘just seizing opportunities’

Paul Hollywood’s ex girlfriend Summer Monteys Fullam has insisted she is not seeking financial gain from the Bake Off star amid a series of explosive headlines.

The former barmaid, 24, released a statement exclusively to MailOnline, saying she wished to clarify speculation about her actions following her split from Paul, 53, in July.

Referring to reports she planned to sue the TV judge after he alleged on social media that she had been ‘making money selling stories and continuously courting paps’, Summer insisted ‘I have never sold a story on my personal life for financial gain or otherwise.’

‘All I am trying to do is seize opportunities that have been presented to me as any young woman would.

‘I would never intentionally do anything to tarnish anyone’s career or name. I am really grateful for the support I have received during what has not been the easiest of times. Thank you, Summer x.’

Summer met Paul in 2017 when he arranged a birthday party for his then-wife Alex at the bar where she worked. They began dating months later and moved into an £845,000 farmhouse together in Kent.

In July, the couple called it quits after the presenter asked her to sign a non-disclosure agreement to prevent her from discussing their relationship.

Last week it was revealed that Summer has signed with talent agency Broad International, in her bid to launch an acting career.

Summer appeared to confirm the signing by posting details for her agency of choice in her Instagram bio.

It was previously reported that Summer turned down a staggering £125,000 fee to appear on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, amid claims she was looking for a fee closer to £400,000.

On top of her ambition to become a reality star, Summer is also understood to want to make a fly-on-the-wall programme focusing on her lifelong love of horses, The Mail On Sunday revealed last month.

Summer’s statement comes after she took to her Instagram Stories to dismiss speculation that she has struck up a romance with model Matt Harnacke following the breakdown of her relationship with Paul.

The barmaid apparently ‘liked’ several of Matt’s social media posts according to The Mirror, but Summer has insisted she merely thinks he is an ‘incredible horseman’.

Summer shut down claims of a budding romance with Matt by taking to social media and saying: ‘I had liked a few of Matt Harnacke’s posts because I think he is an incredible horseman and I feel I can relate to his posts of him and his horses.’

A spokesperson for Summer told MailOnline: ‘Summer really appreciates his horsemanship and thinks he is a fantastic rider. Summer is trying to move on in her life and remain positive about the future.

Paul meanwhile is already preparing for a courtroom clash, this time with his ex-wife Alex – who he was married to for 21 years – over the terms of their divorce settlement.
