Heartwarming moment fostered boy Lewis from Finding Me A Family meets the Queen

A little boy who touched millions after finding a new “forever” home in time for Christmas has met the Queen one year on.

Lewis, eight, was separated from his two siblings because no one could be found to adopt all three.

He has now spent a whole year with his new mum Sharon, 51, and dad Chris, 50 – the longest he has been placed in a home since going into foster care.

Channel 4 programme Finding Me A Family showed him last year meeting his new parents at an adoption party.

Today, Lewis met the Queen at an event for children’s charity Coram. Sharon said: “He was quite nervous and forgot what he wanted to ask her, so I said, ‘Lewis would like to know what’s your favourite country?’ The Queen said: ‘I have visited so many, I couldn’t possibly say.’”

Sharon said he has come a long way in 12 months and is doing well at school.
