BAFTA 2019 nominations in full

Floor-length dresses, bow ties and a cheeky handbag sandwich – it can all only mean one thing: awards season has arrived.

We’ve already had the Golden Globes this week, with British actors Olivia Coleman, Christian Bale and Rami Malek taking home the big gongs on a night full of surprises.

And the same three may well be recognised again when the British Academy Film Awards – the BAFTAs – return to London’s Royal Albert Hall on February 10.

Joanna Lumley is coming back as host of the awards ceremony for the second year running, after she replaced veteran host Stephen Fry in 2018.

Her first ceremony as host was met with mixed views, with criticism about a lack of polish over the script and some of her jokes.

But BAFTA’s director of awards Emma Baehr said the academy is "thrilled" to have the Absolutely Fabulous star back behind the podium this year.

Here’s a look at the BAFTA Award 2019 nominations in full.
