BREAKING: Father Ted star Brendan Grace dead at 68 after cancer battle

Father Ted star Brendan Grace has died aged 68 after a lung cancer battle.

According to RTE, he died in the early hours of this morning.

This is a breaking news story and is constantly being updated.

Last week it was announced he was cancelling his summer tour after he received treatment for pneumonia.

He spent four weeks in hospital as doctors tried to stabilise his condition. 

Brendan is best knwn for playing Fr Stack in the hit show Father Ted.

Tributes have been pouring in for the comedian and actor, as Mrs Brown’s Boys star Brendan O’Carroll sharing his condolences. 

He posted: “He opened doors for so many of us and leaves a legacy of love and laughter that will echo through this land and we will all mourn his passing.”
