Emmerdale’s Lydia Hart sent to prison in horror baby murder twist?

Emmerdale’s Lydia Hart (Karen Blick) revealed last night that she is Jenny Finn, the teenage girl who buried her baby under the school grounds.

Emmerdale spoilers revealed Jessie Dingle (Sandra Marvin) would be called into school after the bones of a baby would be dug up by builders, leading to an inquiry.

Lydia was seen turning herself into police last night as she told them “she was the one they were looking for”, but her fate is yet to be revealed.

However, Karen has hinted Lydia’s secret could be darker than anyone realised, as she said: “She definitely feels she should be punished. She has carried the shame of this for her whole adult life – there is no hiding from this anymore. This is her day of reckoning.

“In her heart, she is a good person and she did a terrible thing, she committed a crime and she thinks she should confess everything and receive the punishment.”

She added: “She views herself as a criminal and a bad person. She’s not come to terms with it and there’s a way to go. In Lydia’s mind, she feels she will be forever punished. She thinks that her baby died because of her because she didn’t tell anybody.

“In her marriage with Steve, she had two miscarriages and she completely blames that on the death of her baby. She feels she is cursed and isn’t able to be a mother.

“She really wants her punishment – she did the crime and she is absolutely willing to do the time.”

Does this mean Karen killed her baby as a teenager?

Fans were stunned as her shocking secret was revealed when her face appeared on the front page of the local newspaper, and have been trying to work out who the father could be.

Some viewers speculated that Frank Tate could have raped Jenny as a teenager, impregnating her when she was in a foster home.

Was Frank the father of the baby?

Emmerdale continues on Monday at 7pm on ITV.
