GMB’s Piers Morgan threatens to ‘punch Sam Allardyce in the face’ amid Soccer Aid tension
The Good Morning Britain host welcomed Sam Allardyce and Didier Drogba onto the show to talk all things Soccer Aid.
This year, Piers Morgan and Susanna Reid will help manage the World and England teams.
Susanna will work with Sam Allardyce, while Piers is teaming up with Harry Redknapp.
And it seems Piers is taking the competition seriously, even joking he’d “punch” Sam Allardyce if he had to.
Sam was on the show alongside Didier, who will play for the World team under Piers.
Also on the World team is One Direction’s Niall Horan, Usain Bolt, Love Island’s Kem Cetinay and Roman Kemp among others.
On the England team are the likes of Ben Shephard, Danny Jones, Mark Wright and Jamie Redknapp.
“You lot are gonna get punched in the face repeatedly ”
Speaking of his tactics, Piers said: “Usain Bolt is gonna duck inside, cross it over at speed and, coming at you like a steam train will be The Drog – bang, bang bang.
“And by the time it’s happened eight times, you’re gonna be sobbing like a baby.”
He went on: “Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.
“You lot are gonna get punched in the face repeatedly – metaphorically.”
He added: “Actually, I can’t rule it out if things get nasty on the touch line, I won’t hesitate to defend myself.”
Susanna quickly interrupted, reminding him: “You’ll all get sent off if there’s any punching in the face!”
