The Widow fans stunned over twist as they finally learn how plane crashed

The Widow viewers were left surprised by the latest episode of the ITV drama, as they finally got confirmation about the plane crash.

When the series began, they saw Georgia told her husband Will had gone missing in a plane crash.

She refused to give up on him and planned to track him down, despite many people telling her that he would have died as just one passenger survived the doomed flight.

But when she believed she had seen husband Will in the background of a TV report filmed in Congo, she went looking to see if she could find proof he was alive.

In the latest episode, despite doubt from some viewers, flashbacks were revealed of the accident and its fallout.

Fans finally learned what happened, as a laptop device exploded on the flight killing almost all of those on board.

But while Dominique was said to have survived alone, it was then confirmed two people actually lived.

Not only that, but Dominique later died after being said to have succumbed to her injuries, while her fellow survivor suggested foul play and never told anyone about being on the plane and what he had seen.

But possibly the biggest surprise of all was that it appeared to confirm Will was never on the flight, following the previous episode revealing he was in fact still alive and in a crate in the middle of nowhere.

Will was said to have gone missing and potentially died in the plane accident, but fans noticed during the flashbacks that he was nowhere to be seen.

Taking to Twitter , viewers shared their surprise, as others questioned what was going on as Georgia continued her search.

One viewer said: “So will wasn't on the plane!” as a second commented: “Okay so we now know will wasn’t on the plane”

Another tweeted: “We didn’t see Will on the plane – did he even board?”
