Strictly’s Arlene Phillips warns harsh trolls to ‘back off’ Layton Williams – as former pro James Jordan says it ‘isn’t right’ that the performer is on the show

Dame Arlene Phillips has warned harsh trolls to ‘back off’ Layton Williams after he has been at the receiving end of hurtful messages since appearing on Strictly.

While his close friend Arlene, 80, supported the West End actor, James Jordan, 45, claimed ‘it isn’t right’ Layton is on the show.

Layton, 29, who has been a victim of constant trolling and bullying, has been slammed by the former Strictly Come Dancing star because of his career history.

As Arlene shared her support to the actor after hearing of his troubling experience, she also urged viewers to ‘not pick on Layton’.

Speaking to The Mirror, she said: ‘Unless the public gets behind Layton, he won’t win, and in many ways, I think that’s a tragedy because yes, he has danced but the force and the personality that Layton puts into it is his own. Don’t pick on Layton. Don’t pile on hate.

‘There is no one I can think of who comes in with an attitude as positive as Layton’s. Whatever he is working on, nothing gets him down. He brings joy into a room and he is a truly beautiful human being.

‘He is one of my favourite all-time people. I have to tell you. Am I biased about Layton? Completely. I want him to win. Because Layton has worked very hard for everything he has and everything he does and I can’t imagine one person I know that has worked with him who hasn’t just fallen in love with who Layton is.’

While Arlene sang the actor’s praises, James waded into the row adding he thinks Layton shouldn’t have been in the line-up in the first place as he insisted he was the ‘best dancer’ the show had seen.

He told Hello magazine: ‘It’s the best dance I’ve seen in any of the Strictly Come Dancing’s all round the world. I loved it, I watched it and thought oh my god that was epic, but does that make it right?

Is that what Strictly is supposed to be? Is that what Strictly has come to that we have fully-trained dancers on the show? For me, it’s not what Strictly is supposed to be.

‘It was so good but what is everyone else supposed to do. So for me, I would say to anyone who is thinking of doing Strictly, don’t do Strictly unless you’re a trained dancer.’

The Everybody’s Talking About Jamie and Billy Elliott star recently got a standing ovation from Craig Revel Horwood for his performance with Nikita Kuzmin, 25, last week, for their Charleston.

Layton and Nikita bagged a perfect 40 for the second week running for their version of Gene and Donald O’Connor’s jig to Fit As A Fiddle.

James added: ‘Is that what Strictly is supposed to be? Is that what Strictly has come to that we have fully-trained dancers on the show? For me, it’s not what Strictly is supposed to be.’

They first danced the Rumba to Lift Me Up by Rihanna, which they got 36 out of 40 points for, before leaving Craig, 58, gobsmacked by their Charleston.

Craig got to his feet as he gave them a very rarely-seen standing ovation for the routine as he clapped them, while Layton and Nikita looked very surprised by the strict judge’s praise.

Craig told them: ‘That’s the best Charleston that I have seen in 20 years.’

While Motsi Mabuse echoed him as she added: ‘There is nothing that has been better, and this is a testament to your hard work and anyone around you, well done.’

Craig, Motsi, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke all gave Layton and Nikita 10 points for the routine, seeing them get a perfect score for the second time.

The pair appeared completely overwhelmed upon getting their scores and Nikita broke down in tears as he paid tribute to his dance partner.

Nikita also made a cryptic comment about Layton still bringing ‘joy’ to people despite what happens in his ‘personal life’ as he hinted at difficulties.

He said: ‘You try to bring joy to everyone – no matter what happens outside or in your personal life – I’m not going to go into that – you always bring joy.

Their latest dance comes after Nikita hit back at trolls who have continued to make hurtful comments about Layton during his Strictly stint

Layton is often targeted by trolls for his West End background and some claim that the celebrity is a ‘professional dancer’ and that he has an ‘unfair’ advantage

Talking about the hateful comments sent to him online, Layton said: ‘It’s like: “Can you not just dress like a man, please please please put a suit on!” and I’m like: “Girl, relax!”’

Layton added: ‘I’m sure you know how it feels, you can have 1000 amazing messages and then just one [negative] and you’re like: “Urgh!” but in these moments, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… even Beyoncé has haters, so!’

‘You make me shine with how much you are shining, you are one of my best friends.’

‘Sometimes things also get to him, and that’s a personal side, I find it sad and unnecessary [the trolling]. At the end of the day, we just want to make people happy, we just want to put on a show…’

An ITV presenter has said that his wife has been given a “death sentence” after confirming her incurable brain tumour diagnosis.

Dan Salisbury-Jones, who hosts the ITV News Central sports bulletins, said wife Liz, 30, is suffering with the rare illness just months after welcoming their first child.

He explained how the couple had enjoyed a successful 2022 celebrating son Reuben’s birth and buying a family home.

“Life was very good back in 2022,” he said, as reported by Birmingham Live. “Liz had given birth to our first baby, I’d got this exciting new job in the Midlands and we had found a house that was to become our family home.”

The presenter said he “had an odd sense that all was going too well”, then Liz had a “petrifying” seizure as they were packing to head home after visiting family in Teesside in December.

They were later told by medics that Liz had a low-grade Oligodendroglioma – a rare, incurable, slow-growing tumour. An estimated 66 to 78 percent of people with this tumour survive for five years or more after diagnosis, according to The Brain Tumour Charity.

Around 16,000 Brits are diagnosed with a brain tumour each year and oligodendrogliomas, which is most common in people aged 40 to 60, accounts for between two and five percent of all cases.

Recalling the moment they heard the awful news, Dan said: “My wife was just looking through me like there was nothing there.

“I really wish I knew that was normal because at the time I thought the worst. Eventually, she started recognising people and rediscovering her memory as we made our way to the hospital.

“She had a CT scan, which revealed a mass on the brain. We were told it was either an infection or a tumour.

“We convinced ourselves it was an infection and that antibiotics would resolve the issue. She was admitted and put on a drip for several days, spending Christmas on a general/diabetic ward at a hospital with no neurological department.”

He explained that Liz’s tumour is slow growing so it’s likely she’ll see their son grow up. However, the risk of seizures means Liz, who is undergoing chemotherapy, will not be able to care for him unsupervised.

The broadcaster explained in a statement through The Brain Tumour Charity: “Liz’s treatment, along with anti-epilepsy drugs, started in May and meant she lost some of her hair – although Liz’s skills with a scarf mean that few people know this!

“Thankfully, it was successful and caused significant shrinkage in the tumour. Then it was time for PCV Chemotherapy.

“We are now midway through the second cycle and Liz is handling it like a trooper. There are some strict dietary requirements, which are quite confusing to start with but not that bad once you get your head around it.”

I’m A Celeb’s Grace Dent admits her heart is broken as she thanks tearful campmates for ‘holding her up’ in emotional goodbye letter after leaving the show on medical grounds

Grace Dent left her campmates teary-eyed with a heartbreaking goodbye letter on Monday night’s episode of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Fans had been left concerned for the food critic, 50, after she had begun to look ‘scarily unwell’ during her time in the jungle – and it was announced she had quit the show for good earlier on Monday.

On Sunday evening Grace was nominated for latest trial Down The Tubes with This Morning host Josie Gibson, only to pull out on medical grounds.

She left a farewell message for her emotional campmates in the form of a laminated letter, which was read aloud by a teary Nick Pickard.

Grace admitted she believed she had ‘let down’ her campmates and said her heart was ‘broken’ following her exit as the campmates found out she had left the jungle for the first time.

Struggle: Fans had been left concerned for the food critic, 50, after she had begun to look ‘scarily unwell’ during her time in the jungle

The full statement read: ‘My Dear campmates, I’m so sorry to let you down. I have left the camp for medical reasons.

‘My heart is broken, I have loved and enjoyed getting to know you all. You’ve held me up and it’s been a pleasure being your friend through this experience.

‘Leaving you all at this stage will be one of the saddest things in my life. I love you all. Your friend, Miss Grace Dent.’

The letter was met with an outpouring of emotion from her fellow campmates, who chorused: ‘We love you Grace!’ as EastEnders’s Danielle was also reduced to tears.

Marvin exclaimed: ‘She hasn’t let us down,’ while Nella Rose said: ‘She’s like my pillar of strength. My little fairy godmother. As long as she’s happy I’m happy.’

Later on the group made a thoughtful toast to Grace over dinner as they enjoyed the meal Josie and Danielle had won in the trial.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter, viewers were also moved by the note, and wished Grace had more screentime while she was on the show.

One said: ‘The campmates talking about Grace was lovely. It is a pity she didn’t get more airtime to see that side of her.’

Reaction: Fans all wished Grace had been given more screentime as she left a sweet note for her campmates

Upset: EastEnders’s Danielle Harold was reduced to tears at the news of Grace’s departure

Difficult: Nella said Grace had been her ‘fairy godmother’ and they had bonded over their jungle experience

Another added: ‘It’s a shame we didn’t see much of Grace, sounds like everyone thought a lot of her but we saw absolutely nothing.’

A third said: ‘yeah we didn’t see much of grace but the celebs spent all day every day with her, she obviously made a big impact on them all which is so sweet, bless danielle getting upset over it :((‘

However one noted: ‘Grace said more in that letter than in any episode this series!’

The food critic caught a flight back to the United Kingdom on Monday after seven days in camp, hours after pulling out of the show’s latest Bushtucker Trial.

Grace had sparked concern among ITV viewers, with many commenting on her gaunt appearance and pale, drawn complexion prior to her abrupt departure.

But sources claim her ordeal in the makeshift jungle camp ‘was a mental battle rather than physical and after a couple of days of rest and recovery she will be fine.’

On Monday it was revealed she had decided to leave after ‘losing all her energy’ in camp and reaching breaking point as she faced the prospect of doing another Bushtucker Trial.

Within three hours of the announcement being made Grace was spotted at Brisbane Airport as she made her return to the United Kingdom.

An ITV statement read: ‘Unfortunately Grace Dent has left the show on medical grounds. She has been a great campmate and will be missed by her fellow celebrities and viewers alike’ (Grace is pictured just before entering camp with her trademark red lipstick)

The food critic refused to talk to press at the airport and kept her head down as she rushed through the terminal.

Grace failed to raise a smile as she waited to check in and was spotted repeatedly rubbing her elbow as she waited in line.

At one point she was spotted using her phone as a mirror after she had sparked concerns among viewers with her ‘unwell’ appearance in the jungle.

She took advantage of having her creature comforts returned and sported her trademark red lipstick.

Grace was casually clad for her flight, sporting a black vest top and loose fitting jeans.

After checking in Grace was down the escalator through a VIP entrance by her security team.

An insider has since revealed to MailOnline that Grace’s jungle exit was mutually decided between Grace and show bosses, who had intervened after seeing her visible deterioration in camp.

A source close to the MasterChef star revealed: ‘Grace decided to leave the jungle soon after it was announced that she would be doing the latest Bushtucker Trial.

‘Knowing that she would be facing another tough challenge was the straw that broke the camel’s back.’

They continued: ‘It was mutually agreed that she would stand down from the competition, it was clear that she wasn’t being herself, she had lost all energy when usually she’s witty and fun to be around.

‘ITV’s duty of care and welfare teams had stepped in, and rightly so.

‘She had struggled since living in the camp with less amenities, the weather this year has been particularly miserable and as a restaurant critic, not eating well proved to be harder than she could have ever imagined.

‘Grace is looking forward to seeing her loved ones now and after a few days of rest and recovery will be fine.’

Grace has struggled since kicking off her journey filming the Pole Position trial on Friday, November 24 and last week threatened to quit the show.

ITV confirmed her departure on Monday with a statement that read: ‘Unfortunately Grace Dent has left the show on medical grounds. She has been a great campmate and will be missed by her fellow celebrities and viewers alike.’

Miriam Margolyes takes a brutal swipe at I’m A Celebrity as she vows to never do the show: ‘I’ve got class, love. I’m not doing that’

Miriam Margolyes has taken a brutal swipe at I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! ahead of the new series starting on Sunday.

The comedian has vowed to never take part in the ITV fan favourite, despite being asked in the past.

The 82-year-old actress confessed that while she agreed to write her memoir after she was offered a hefty pay packet, no amount of money would make her go into the jungle, saying: ‘I’ve got class, love. I’m not doing that.’

Appearing on Waitrose podcast Dish with hosts Nick Grimshaw and Angela Harnett, Nick revealed that three million people bought her first memoir, This Much Is True.

Asking the star whether she expected so many people to read it, she replied: ‘Of course I didn’t. I only wrote it because they offered me a lot of money.’

‘I’ve got class, love. I’m not doing that’: Miriam Margolyes, 82, has made a brutal dig at I’m A Celebrity as the new series prepares to launch on Sunday

Not for her: The comedian has vowed to never take part in the ITV fan favourite, despite being asked (pictured, the 2023 cast: Fred Sirieix, Grace Dent, Danielle Harold, Marvin Humes, Josie Gibson, Jamie Lynn Spears, Sam Thompson, Nella Rose, Nigel Farage and Nick Pickard)

She continued: ‘That’s true, that’s absolutely true. Well, when you’re old and you know that your earning potential is diminishing you’ve got to get the money while you can.’

But it’s not just I’m A Celeb Miriam won’t sign up for. Fans can dash any hopes of ever seeing Miriam on the Strictly dance floor too.

She added: ‘I won’t do that, what do you call it? The dancing thing. Strictly.’

Angela then asked: ‘They’ve asked you to do that a few times?’

Miriam responded: ‘Yeah, they must have been f*****g nuts. And they asked me to go in the jungle. No.

‘I’ve got class, love. I’m not doing that. So I thought, “I’ll write a book”.’

The full lineup for I’m A Celebrity was unveiled earlier this week as the campmates began making their way to Australia.

Featuring some of the show’s most outspoken characters ever, leading this year’s campmates are Fred Sirieix, Grace Dent, Danielle Harold, Marvin Humes and Josie Gibson.

‘I only wrote it because they offered me a lot of money’: Appearing on the Dish podcast with hosts Nick Grimshaw and Angela Harnett, she revealed she had no desire to write a memoir

Also preparing for a stint in the Australian outback are Jamie Lynn Spears, Sam Thompson, Nella Rose, Nigel Farage and Nick Pickard.

The former leader of the Brexit Party, Nigel, is possibly the most controversial campmate who will be hoping to mimic the success of Matt Hancock last year, who went from being one of the most despised campmates to finishing in third place.

Explaining why he was taking part in the show, Nigel said: ‘Given millions hate me, I do expect people will vote for me to do trials but I have been demonised over the years and so it will be nice to show people I am not nasty.’

‘I want to test myself. Business, politics, media, I’ve done so many different jobs and generally I have been reasonably successful,’ he said.

‘But I have never been tested in quite this way. It’s such a mental test and maybe I will discover who I really am.

‘I understood why Matt Hancock did it. He went in there with his reputation on the floor.

‘The truth is after the banking issue I raised a few months ago, I was standing up for a million people who had lost their bank accounts, then winning at the TRIC awards, I am going in at a different stage of my career.’

EXCLUSIVE: Emily Ratajkowski passionately KISSES actor Stéphane Bak during romantic Paris break – as supermodel RETURNS to busy dating scene after Harry Styles tryst
  • READ MORE: Look away now, Harry! Emily seen with on-off beau Orazio Rispo

Emily Ratajkowski enjoyed an extremely passionate PDA session with actor and comedian Stéphane Bak as the pair debuted their new romance in Paris on Tuesday.

The supermodel, 32, who has dated the likes of Eric André, DJ Orazio Rispo, and Harry Styles since splitting from husband Sebastian Bear-McClard last year, looked smitten with the French star, 27, as they locked lips in the street while clutching glasses of wine.

The new couple were seen gazing into one another’s eyes before kissing each other’s necks and enjoying a glass of wine and a cigarette in the street.

Bak was also seen cheekily grabbing Emily’s derriere during their kisses in the street.

Emily cut a chic figure in a berry leather trench coat paired with a green silk skirt and stiletto boots.

Her tresses were styled in soft waves and she sported her signature vampy eye make-up look, paired with nude lipstick.

Bak wore a graphic print tee, denim jacket, jeans and sneakers for his night out with Emily.

He shot to fame in 2012 aged 16 as ‘the youngest comedian in France’ thanks to his stellar stand-up routines in small clubs in Paris, including Le Palace and Théâtre Trévise.

The Franco-Congolese star was expelled from high school in 2011 and was later authorised by the French Department of Social Affairs to start working at the age of 14 – leading to his comedy career.

His acting roles include Christopher Barratier’s Team Spirit, David Moreau’s Alone, and Paul Verhoeven’s Elle.

His most notable role came in Wes Anderson’s 2023 film Asteroid City as a student alongside A-listers Scarlett Johansson and Tom Hanks.

Back in March Emily shocked fans when she was seen kissing Styles, 29, on the streets of Tokyo in the wake of his split from Olivia Wilde.

Location, Location, Location review: Phil’s perfect husband material – he does exactly what he’s told! writes CHRISTOPHER STEVENS

 Location, Location, Location

Rating:

Nadiya’s Simple Spices

Rating:

There is something terribly un-British about haggling. Even on holiday, in countries where it’s the custom and often expected, bargaining over the price seems almost like begging.

The most excruciating part of any episode of The Apprentice comes when the business wannabes dash into a shop and make half-price offers for goods.

Yet we haggle over houses. That’s the one time it’s acceptable. Perhaps it’s because property prices are so high, it’s hard to comprehend how much we’re spending.

Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer have been trying to teach us how to strike a property bargain for nearly 25 years. One good rule of thumb, apparently, is to offer 5 per cent below the asking price (NB, a disclaimer — never take financial advice from a television column).

But as Location, Location, Location (Ch4) returned for its 40th series, their clients had very different ideas about haggling.

Kirstie Allsopp and Phil Spencer have been trying to teach us how to strike a property bargain for nearly 25 years

Glen and Natalie, together with their ten-year-old son, Barnaby, had been house-hunting around Torquay in Devon for 18 months. They had seen three dozen houses and none met their needs, which didn’t seem extravagant: two bedrooms or more, a kitchen-diner, off-street parking, close to the sea. But the family’s budget wouldn’t stretch beyond £280,000.

To Kirstie’s disbelief, they fell in love with the first place she showed them. The moment they saw the paved driveway, they were besotted. Natalie was almost scared to go inside: ‘The house is so good, I just don’t want anything to jinx it.’

By the time they’d toured the rooms, they were decided. Kirstie made them look again, but the couple were chafing to offer the full asking price of £280,000. This was accepted immediately.

If every property viewing went like that, Phil and Kirstie wouldn’t have a show.

Single mum-of-two Amy, on the other hand, was ready to spend £900,000 for four bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen and dining room, sunny garden and great views — and might be persuaded to fork out a full million.

She couldn’t feign enthusiasm for any of the houses Phil showed her, even when La Allsopp (whose own success had left her temporarily unemployed) muscled in.

The way he does what he’s told — ‘Be quiet, Phil. Go away, Phil’ — must make him the envy of millions of women who’d love an obedient husband like that.

While the presenters flirted, Amy went back to a house she’d seen months earlier. The vendors were resolute: they wanted £950,000 or nothing. Amy, however, was determined to haggle.

One good rule of thumb, apparently, is to offer 5 per cent below the asking price (NB, a disclaimer — never take financial advice from a television column)

Location, Location, Location (Ch4) returned for its 40th series, their clients had very different ideas about haggling

Nadiya Hussain shows us recipes from her childhood on Simple Spices (BBC2)

Her first offer of £850,000 had been rejected. Now she offered £910,000, and £930,000, and finally settled on £940,000 with furniture thrown in. By this point, even Del Boy selling dodgy dinner services on his market stall might think the back-and-forth was getting to be an embarrassment.

Nadiya Hussain wouldn’t put up with any arguing, over prices or anything else. You can just tell from the way she wags her finger and scolds the camera on Nadiya’s Simple Spices (BBC2). Cooking rice, she orders us, ‘Do not let the steam out,’ with a threatening glare. She’s at her best when she’s bossy.

This has been a mouthwatering cookery series, especially good when the former Bake Off champ is showing us recipes from her childhood, such as a basic biryani or a quick trick to make pakoras from leftover veggies. There’s no need for the segments from other cooks — Nadiya’s got more than enough tips to fill the half hour.

Her suggestion of using spinach leaves instead of lettuce in a burger is definitely worth trying. But I had no idea pakoras are meant to be eaten with a mug of tea. Surely, you can’t dunk them?

Princess Diana’s warzone charity is snubbed in next series of The Crown as Netflix use logo of another conflict group

A warzone charity supported by Princess Diana has been snubbed in final series of The Crown.

In one of the last and most defining acts of her life, the princess was seen walking through a minefield in Angola to promote the vital work of the Halo Trust.

Now the British organisation has been snubbed by Netflix in its recreation of the visit – by replacing its name with a New Zealand-based group.

Images released last week showed actress Elizabeth Debicki, who plays Diana in season six of the royal drama, re-enacting the Princess of Wales’ walk across a minefield cleared by the Trust in 1997.

Debicki is seen wearing an exact replica of Diana’s outfit, which meticulously mimics her chunky gold earrings, blown-out hairstyle and white shirt.

But The Crown’s creators changed one key detail: replacing the Halo Trust branded protective vest with a badge of a charity called ‘ReliefAid’.

Staff at the Halo Trust, which clears deadly landmines left in conflict zones, were understood to be baffled by the snub.

‘We weren’t asked or consulted about the scene. Obviously, we would have been delighted had our logo been on the PPE, which is what really happened,’ said a spokesperson for the charity.

They added: ‘Princess Diana’s advocacy helped to get the 1997 landmine ban over the line and that is an incredibly powerful legacy.’

Insiders at the Halo Trust felt it was ‘a shame’ that Netflix bosses chose not to include them, as the series could have promoted the charity to The Crown’s global audience of 73 million viewers.

The trust relies on donations for its life-saving work across six continents to clear landmines and explosives.

Mail readers donated £2.1million to The Halo Trust through the Mail Force campaign following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which helped finance its work to clear minefields in regions previously besieged by Kremlin forces.

The Crown’s snub also stirred confusion 11,000 miles away in New Zealand, home to a real humanitarian organisation called ReliefAid that provides emergency aid to conflict zones.

‘Netflix did not contact us and ReliefAid did not agree for Netflix to use our name,’ said Anne Bulley, ReliefAid’s communications director.

Now the British organisation has been snubbed by Netflix in its recreation of the visit – by replacing its name with a New Zealand-based group

She added: ‘We were founded in 2015, have never worked in Angola and do not do mine clearance.

‘Perhaps Netflix would like to make a donation to The Halo Trust and ReliefAid to recognise their misrepresentation of both our organisations and the vital work we do to help victims of conflict.

‘I suspect the use of the name is a coincidence, because to my knowledge we are the only registered charity using the name ReliefAid.’

The final series, which airs from next month, will explore the events surrounding Diana’s tragic death in Paris in 1997, and will close on the royal wedding of Charles and Camilla.

The controversial series has already made headlines with news that Princess Diana will appear as a ghost for an emotional reconciliation with a grieving Prince Charles.

Royal insiders suggested the latest instalment will likely be considered in poor taste, particularly as ‘deeply painful memories for members of the family are reduced to sensationalism’.

A spokesman for Netflix declined to comment.

Kanye West tells Elon Musk he is not bipolar but has ‘signs of autism’ from a car accident and that he can’t ‘watch Kim keep my kids from me’ in leaked texts after he was banned from Twitter

Kanye West told Elon Musk that he is not bipolar but does have ‘signs of autism’ from a car accident in leaked text messages.

The 46-year-old artist – who recently had a gig in Italy cancelled due to protests from war veterans – asked longtime confidant Ian Connor to post screenshots from text messages he had allegedly sent to the 52-year-old X (formally Twitter) boss.

As Kanye was banned from Elon’s social media platform in December 2022, he was seemingly pleading for another chance while explaining himself in a long ranting  message.

Perhaps the most eye-opening part of the text was when the Through The Wire hitmaker said: ‘I’m not bi polar.

‘I have signs of autism from my car accident.’

Hmm: Kanye West told Elon Musk that he is not bipolar but does have ‘signs of autism’ from a car accident in leaked text messages; they are seen together in July 2020

‘I’m not bi polar. I have signs of autism from my car accident’: The 46-year-old artist – who recently had a gig in Italy cancelled due to protests from war veterans – asked longtime confidant Ian Connor to post screenshots from text messages he had allegedly sent to the 52-year-old X (formally Twitter) boss

Kanye was seemingly referencing his famous vehicle collision while leaving a recording session at a studio in LA back in October 23, 2002.

At the time the up-and-coming rapper had fallen asleep at the wheel of his rented Lexus when he crashed into an oncoming car leaving his jaw shattered in three places, which he has referenced in numerous songs over the years.

Kanye also appeared to get into more personal matters as he referenced his relationship with ex-wife Kim Kardashian who has primary custody of their four children.

He wrote: ‘You can’t watch Kim keep my kids from me.

‘And not say anything publicly and then call yourself my friend so I can bring my audience to your struggling platform.’

The 42-year-old Kardashians star filed for divorce from the musician in February of 2021. The pair share four children together – North, 10, Psalm, four, Saint, seven, and Chicago, five.

The beginning of the lengthy message saw the Blood On The Leaves rapper asking the Tesla boss when they are going to speak and that he doesn’t owe him a meeting but if they do ‘the nature of the relationship has to change.’

It remains unclear what prompted the text messages from Kanye in the first place.

In December of last year Elon suspended Kanye’s account after he shared a picture of a swastika interlaced with a Star of David.

The post came hours after an interview with conspiracy theorist Alex Jones. West sparked outrage by declaring his ‘love’ of Nazis and his admiration for Adolf Hitler.

Bruce Willis’ wife Emma Heming fights back TEARS as she opens up about the actor’s brutal struggle with dementia – admitting it’s ‘hard to know’ if he’s even aware of what’s happening to him
  • Bruce, 68, was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) earlier this year
  • Emma, 45, gave an update on her husband’s health on Monday’s Today show
  • Actor’s wife said the illness has been ‘hard’ but described Die Hard star as ‘the gift that keeps on giving’

Bruce Willis’ wife Emma Hemming has admitted it’s ‘hard to know’ whether or not the Hollywood actor is aware of his brain illness.

In February of this year, Emma announced that the 68-year-old star had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD) – an uncommon type of the disease that causes a deterioration in behavior, personality and language.

Speaking to Hoda Kotb on Monday’s edition of Today, Emma, 45, fought back tears as she gave an update on Bruce’s ‘hard’ condition and said that just being in the know ‘makes it a little bit easier’.

When Hoda, 59, asked how Bruce is doing, Emma took a deep breath and replied: ‘What I’m learning is that dementia is hard. It’s hard on the person diagnosed. It’s also hard on the family. And that is no different for Bruce or myself or our girls.

‘And when they say that this is a family disease, it really is,’ she said, referring to her two young daughters, Mabel, 11, and eight-year-old Evelyn.

Emma said it’s ‘hard to know’ if Bruce is aware of what is happening to him

When asked how she went about explaining his illness to their children, Emma explained: ‘I think it’s always been… we’re a very honest and open household.

‘And, the most important thing was to be able for us to say what the disease was, explain what it is because when you know what the disease is from a medical standpoint it sort of all makes sense.

‘So it was important that we let them know what it is because, you know, I don’t want there to be any stigma or shame attached to their dad’s diagnosis, or for any form of dementia.’

When mother-of-two Hoda asked: ‘Does he know what’s going on? Is that something he’s aware of?’ Emma paused before responding: ‘Hard to know.’

As Emma composed herself, Emma Dickinson, who is the CEO of The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (AFTD), joined in and explained: ‘What we know is, obviously, the disease can start in the frontal or the temporal lobes like the name signifies.

‘One of the things that the frontal lobe controls is self-insight. We don’t know. Some people, that’s the first thing they lose, any understanding that they themselves have changed and other people retain that for a long time.’

Emma went on to explain how it felt coming to terms with Bruce’s diagnosis, and said: ‘I think it was the blessing and the curse. You know, to sort of finally understand what was happening so that I can be into the acceptance of what is.

‘It doesn’t make it any less painful, but just being in the acceptance and just being in the know of what happening to Bruce just makes it a little bit easier.

Emma, 45, admitted that she felt out of her ‘comfort zone’ being on the morning show

‘There is so many beautiful things happening in our lives. It is just really important for me to look up from the grief and the sadness so that I can see what is happening around us,’ Emma added.

In a particularly touching moment, Hoda asked Emma what she thinks Bruce is teaching their girls as they all come to terms with his illness as a family.

‘Honestly, he is the gift that keeps on giving. Love, patience, resilience, so much…’ Emma said.

‘And he’s teaching me and our whole… I mean, you know, for me to be out here doing this, this is not my comfort zone, but this is the power of Bruce.’

Hoda continued: ‘I have heard from people that have an ailing family member, and I remember this from a friend of mine… she said, “my husband’s diagnosis made my kids better people”. Is that what you’re noticing?’

‘That is what I’m noticing,’ Emma replied. ‘Listen, I think my kids would be great no matter what! And this is not what I would want for them. But really, like I said, it is teaching them so much and how to care and love and it’s a beautiful thing amongst the sadness.’

She confirmed that she refers to herself as Bruce’s ‘care partner’ as opposed to his ‘caretaker’, and also noted the importance of taking care of herself as well.

‘It’s so important to ask for help and support. And you can look to organizations like the AFTD, like Hilarity For Charity… it is sort of a great starting point.

Emma has also plenty of support from Bruce’s ex-wife Demi Moore and their three daughters Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah

‘And it’s important for care partners to look after themselves so that they can be the best care, partner for the person that they’re caring for,’ she added.

Emma also has support from Bruce’s ex-wife Demi Moore and their three grown up daughters; Rumer, 35, Scout, 32, and 29-year-old Tallulah.

Bruce withdrew from acting in 2022 as he began his fight with the illness that caused his language abilities to deteriorate – and in February 2023, his family confirmed in a joint statement that his condition had ‘progressed’.

The statement read: ‘Our family wanted to start by expressing our deepest gratitude for the incredible outpouring of love, support and wonderful stories we have all received since sharing Bruce’s original diagnosis.

‘In the spirit of that, we wanted to give you an update about our beloved husband, father and friend since we now have a deeper understanding of what he is experiencing.

‘Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD).

‘Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.

‘FTD is a cruel disease that many of us have never heard of and can strike anyone. For people under 60, FTD is the most common form of dementia, and because getting the diagnosis can take years, FTD is likely much more prevalent than we know.’

Tory Lanez is isolated in his prison cell, and amid a new, volatile environment, the guy’s actually gunning to be among the normie inmates … and he’s not afraid at all.

Ceasar McDowell — a member of Tory’s legal team and the CEO of Unite the People — tells us he’s spoken to TL a few times since he was denied bond pending his appeal, and apparently Tory has a preference on where to be housed at the new facility … gen pop.

North Kern State Prison

Indeed … we’re told Tory’s first choice is to be among the other inmates, as opposed to being siloed away in a protective wing … where high-profile inmates often go. Instead, McDowell tells us Tory’s relayed to him … he wants to be among the common crowd, which is somewhat shocking.

TMZ broke the story — Tory’s currently isolated because of his celebrity status, getting frequent guard checks and escorts for meals — but he doesn’t want the special treatment … he wants to be out with everybody else.

It goes without saying … gen pop is where a lot of danger exists, and where an inmate could more easily run into problems. And despite this, we’re told Tory has absolutely no apprehension about his safety … as McDowell explains Tory thinks he can handle himself.

McDowell tells us that Tory’s been fully briefed on prison life from several people in his own world — and, generally speaking, he’s a confident guy. In other words, it sounds like TL thinks he’d be able to fit right in without any problems.

More than this … we’re told there are practical reasons Tory’s gunning for a gen Pop placement. An inmate in gen pop tends to have access to more programs and resources (like help/support groups) than the special wing prisoners do … and McDowell says Tory wants the option to take advantage of those.

Unclear which of these Tory might want to join, but what McDowell does tell us is this … Tory believes being a part of that will help him rehabilitate faster and come home sooner.

Now, while Tory might not fear his own safety in the new prison … we’re told he does have one lingering fear … the real possibility of losing touch with his loved ones. We’re told the communication rules at North Kern State Prison are different than what he had at L.A. County Jail … where he could call anyone he wanted at any time.

Here, and for the time being, he’ll have limited access to the outside world. McDowell says Tory can’t make calls himself, but can still receive them from his legal team. This will only be temporary, however, as Tory sits tight in the “reception center” for the next 30 days.

McDowell says once Tory finishes his month in the reception center, he’ll head into inmate orientation — where they’ll determine his fate as far as gen pop, etc. In the meantime, Tory’s team is working round-the-clock to get a higher court to reverse the bond denial.
