Adele’s fans could barely contain their excitement on Monday as they flooded Twitter with speculation of her fourth album. 

The 33-year-old singer prompted the lively online conversations after updating her social media channels to encompass an intriguing dark teal hue.

Observant enthusiasts noticed the colour was synonymous with a series of ’30’ billboards that popped up across the globe last week.

The ’30’ title would certainly fall in line with Adele’s preferred way of naming her albums, with all three of her studio albums named after her age.   

Adele’s debut album 19 was released in 2008, followed by 21 in 2011 and 25 in 2015. 

Should Adele follow the previous pattern, the 30 album would provide plenty of inspiration, having been the age she separated from ex-husband Simon Konecki.

One fan of the Chasing Pavements songstress was adamant that an announcement was imminent.

‘She’s close by!’ they wrote, ‘Adele has updated her socials. An announcement is imminent. After 6 years, we are about to hear new Adele celebrate #Adele30’.

Another couldn’t help but praise one of the one of the world’s best-selling music artists and branded her ‘legendary.’

A further devotee penned: ‘Adele about to shatter every streaming record ever set and I’m not over exaggerating.’ 

The London-born pop star may have updated her platforms but she is yet to comment – although she previously teased the forthcoming album in an Instagram back in 2019, writing: ’30 will be a drum n bass record to spite you.’  

With sales of over 120 million records, Adele’s accolades include 15 Grammy Awards and nine Brit Awards.
