Amber Gill fears she might be STUCK in Dubai for Christmas

‘I have no idea what I’m doing!’ Amber Gill says she’s confused by Tier 4 lockdown restrictions and fears she may be STUCK in Dubai for Christmas after jetting to the UAE last-minute

London was thrown into a Tier 4 lockdown at midnight on Saturday, as Boris Johnson encouraged citizens to stay at home amid a surge of new coronavirus cases.

And, on Monday morning Amber Gill, 23, claimed that she is confused by the new restrictions, after jetting to Dubai last-minute on Saturday to avoid them, confessing: ‘I have no idea what I’m doing!’.

Taking to her Instagram Stories from the sanctuary of the Waldorf Astoria, the 2019 Love Island winner expressed her fears that she might be STUCK in the UAE for Christmas.

Clueless! on Monday morning Amber Gill, 23, claimed to be confused by the new Tier 4 lockdown restrictions, after jetting to Dubai last-minute on Saturday to avoid them

Sharing a photograph of her breakfast set up at the luxury hotel, Amber insisted her trip to Dubai was arranged ‘way before’ Saturday, identifying Wednesday – three days prior – as being the date her flight was booked.

She wrote: ‘Just want to put it out there. I had no idea tier 4 was a thing. The flight here was booked way before I thought the changes were being made, on the 16th, meaning I was still allowed to travel for work.

‘I have no idea what I’m doing. I was only supposed to be here for 4 days. Now I don’t know where I’m supposed to go or if I should stay here. It’s all mad.

‘I like humour in sh**ty situations and I’m aware how fortunate I am. I like to laugh my way through life because if you don’t laugh you’ll cry. I’ve never not been in Newcastle with my family for Christmas.’

British authorities advise against all non-essential travel but as it currently stands the air corridor between the UAE and UK – which negates the need for quarantine on landing – remains in place.

On Saturday, Amber donned a hydrating facial mask as she captured her business class journey from Heathrow airport to the UAE, in search of some December sun.

Amber documented the Terminal 2 entrance at the airport after she penned a reaction to a Tier 4 London article: ‘Let me just collect my things real quick.’

The reality star then shared an image of her preened pedicure and Off-White tote bag resting underneath her aeroplane screen as she prepared to take off.

Amber took good care of her natural beauty as she was seen sporting a skincare eye mask and face mask for the seven hour journey.

Her satin pink sleeping mask rested on her curly tresses as she captured the stunning selfie video.

After arriving in the sun-soaked country, she shared a clip from the back of an airport buggy as she let out a soft scream and laughed: ‘I’m scared!’

The getaway comes after Amber was spotted in the park with a mystery man earlier in December, who was later revealed to be model and personal trainer, Jon Hosking.

The pair looked in great spirits as they chatted while walking through a park.

Earlier this year, Amber admitted that she is now ‘super-careful’ with dating after appearing on the dating series, Love Island.

The reality TV star revealed that she is ‘inundated with proposals in her DMs’ but insisted that she doesn’t want to be seen as a ‘sex symbol’.

She told The Sun: ‘I get inundated with proposals in my DMs but I don’t think they mean it and, because of Love Island, I’m now super-careful when I’m dating.

‘I don’t want to be thought of as a sex symbol. Oh, God, no! I don’t want to be that because there’s more to my personality than that.’

Amber insisted that she has a lot more to offer than just her looks and doesn’t want people jumping to conclusions based on her appearance or stint on the reality show.

She added: ‘I would roll my eyes if someone came up to me in a pub or club and started going on about how gorgeous I was, rather than engaging me in a proper conversation.’

Amber won the hit reality TV show and £50,000 prize money last year with Irish rugby player, Greg O’Shea.

The couple met towards the end of the show after she was sidelined by her previous love interest, Michael Griffiths, who began dating Casa Amour newcomer, Joanna Chimonides. They have since split.

Greg appeared to be a true gentleman and a breath of fresh air for Amber which made him an instant fan favourite, but their romance was short-lived as he decided to dump her over the phone just weeks after winning the competition.
