As she hit 40 last year, she added: ‘I feel excited about the years to come because I feel better than how I felt in my twenties. Part of how I express my femininity is feeling sexy.’

The group received over 400 complaints from viewers but Ashley has hit back at her critics as she would like to ask women why they are ‘triggered’ by them.

She explained that they are women working together, who should be supported by other women and encourage each other to ‘unleash’ their inner tigers.

Ashley said: ‘I’m like, ‘Let’s get our sassy, fierce, feminine sides out there’. Let’s embrace that part of ourselves. It doesn’t stop with age, right? I mean, we’ve all seen Jennifer Lopez at 52.’

It comes after Ashley revealed that her gruelling work schedule while performing with The Pussycat Dolls had such an impact on her health, she was rushed to hospital.

The singer who performed with the band from 2003 to 2010 before reuniting in 2019, admitted doctors feared she was suffering from a brain aneurysm after her body ‘just shut down.’

Luckily, following an MRI scan doctors told Ashley she simply needed to rest, with the star adding she’s learned to adapt to a slower lifestyle since moving to the UK.

Speaking on Jamie Laing’s Private Parts podcast on Friday, Ashley admitted that her fast-paced schedule while performing with the Pussycat Dolls took a terrifying toll on her health.

She said: ‘The thing was, being in a girl band, we make people a lot of money so there was, the schedule was outrageous. I’m not going to lie, by the end I was breaking down. I was in the hospital.

‘They thought I was having a brain aneurysm. I think it was just from going, going, going and my body was just shutting down really.
