Ben Foden says new wife is ‘very different’ to Una as he lifts lid on marriage

Rugby star Ben Foden has lifted the lid on his whirlwind second marriage following his success on X Factor : Celebrity this weekend.

The Try Star band member gushed all about his new life with American socialite Jackie Belanoff Smith in an interview with OK! Magazine.

Ben, who married Jackie after two weeks of dating, described her as 'very different' to his first wife Una Healy, with whom he shares two children.

The 34-year-old dad also said that he and Jackie have discussed having kids of their own.

"It's definitely something I've talked about with Jackie. I think yeah, when the time's right. Jackie and I are very new but we're having great fun doing what we're doing so we'll see where the future takes us," said Ben.

"Una and Jackie are two very different people," he continued.

"When I was married to Una I was very much in love with her. She's a super-talented, brilliant woman and when I met Jackie, she came to me at a time when my life was a bit all over the place."

Ben also said that he'd never met any woman like Jackie before.

"She was very different, something that I needed and I love everything about her. Obviously a rushed decision, but an easy decision… I'm an old romantic at heart."

Ben's last marriage to Saturdays singer Una hit the rocks in 2018 when he admitted to cheating.

He previously described his infidelity as the 'final in the coffin' for their relationship as they'd been 'struggling for a number of years.'

The pair married in Ireland in 2012 after four years together and went on to have children Aoife and Tadhg.

The family had been planning a move to the US for Ben's rugby career in 2018, when allegations of an affair came to light.

A year after the divorce, Ben tied the knot with US socialiate Jackie after just two weeks of dating.

Two months after their yacht-wedding , Ben has branched out into another career with an appearance on X Factor: Celebrity.

He formed the man band Try Star with fellow rugby stars Thom Evans, 34 and Levi Davis, 21.

On last night's edition of Simon Cowell's latest venture, the trio were delighted to be given a spot on the live shows.

They'll perform alongside 11 other contestants in a studio next week.

There has already been some controversy with the original line-up though.

The Chase star Jenny Ryan was a surprise late minute arrival to the next round of the competition after Nicole Scherzinger initially turned her down.

But the judges had a change of heart after 'considering the celebrities' performances again' and asked Jenny to return.

While Vinnie Jones is also a last minute addition to the Overs Group after missing out the judges' houses stage when his wife Tanya sadly died a few days before filming.

The footballer turned actor was seen taking part in a phone call with Simon Cowell at the end of Saturday's episode where he said he'd still like to take part.
