Billie Lourd honors late Carrie Fisher for Mother’s Day
Billie Lourd paid tribute to Carrie Fisher on Mother’s Day.
On Sunday, Lourd, 25, posted a photo of herself sitting on Fisher’s lap and hugging her.
“This one goes out to anyone having a less than perfect Mother’s Day today,” the “American Horror Story” star captioned the sweet snap on Instagram. “We are not alone. Sending all my love and strength to anyone who needs it.”
Fisher died at 60 in December 2016. Fisher’s mother (and Lourd’s grandmother), Debbie Reynolds, passed away just one day later at the age of 84.
In September, Lourd, who is set to inherit $7 million from the late “Star Wars” legend’s estate, admitted, “I got a lot of goddesses … It’s completely surreal. There’s no way to really explain it, and it’s so hard to talk about. If I say that I’m doing good, I’m too happy, and if I say that I’m not doing good, then I’m a mess, so it’s really hard to know what to say.”
The former “Scream Queens” star also honored Fisher on the anniversary of her death in December, when she visited the Northern Lights — a destination she and Fisher had always wanted to make together, but never got the chance.
