Bros star Luke Goss ‘turns down Strictly Come Dancing because he’s too famous’

Bros star Luke Goss has reportedly turned down a place Strictly Come Dancing 2019 because thinks he's too famous for the show.

The pop idol is said to be keen to focus on his acting career in the US despite the pleas of BBC bosses who are desperate for him to hit the dancefloor.

A source told The Sun : "Strictly bosses are desperate to bag Luke as the star of their line up this year as he’s so hot right now, but he’s adamant that he’s not taking part.

“He takes his acting career in the US very seriously and feels the show isn’t high-brow enough for him."

Luke's brother and Bros bandmate Matt previously appeared on the show for the 2013 Christmas special.

The Strictly news comes just days after reports suggested Luke is dealing with personal problems after splitting from his wife of 25 years Shirley Lewis.

They were believed to be going through a divorce amid allegations the pop star was unfaithful.

However, just days later the couple appeared to shrug off the split rumours by posing for a cosy selfie together.

Luke, who stars alongside brother Matt in Bros, married backing singer Shirley, who has worked with Elton John and George Michael, in 1994.

The brothers found themselves back in the headlines lately following the release of their hit documentary After The Screaming Stops.

They've also teased that a second film could be in the pipeline, saying they could make one if "it happens for the right reasons".
