The excitement is building for the 71st Primetime Emmy Awards, which are being held at the Microsoft Theater in Downtown Los Angeles Sunday night.

To help with the buildup, many of the acclaimed stars that will grace the red carpet and Emmy stage attended the traditional BAFTA LA Tea Party in Beverly Hills Saturday afternoon.

Looking every bit the Hollywood royalty couple, nominee Michael Douglas and his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones were among those to showcase their style, as well as legendary chemistry.

Zeta-Jones, who turns 50 on September 25, looked effortlessly chic in a black and plum-patterned dress that showcased her amazing figure with its shoulder-less design.

It also put an emphasis on her womanly curves by hugging her cleavage and toned waist. 

The Queen America leading lady matched it with beige heels and wore her trademark raven tresses long and flowing to the middle of her back, with an added touch of sheen and volume.

Acclaimed: Douglas, who’s nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series for The Kominsky Method, and Zeta-Jones will celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary in November

Douglas, who’s nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor In A Comedy Series for his role in The Kominsky Method, looked handsome in brown slacks and a white-patterned button down that had splashes of red and light blue.

The 74-year-old also wore a light green blazer, without a tie, black shoes and his short hair brushed back off his face. 

Showing their enduring love for one another, the pair held hands while giving the occasional gaze into each other’s eyes while sharing the spotlight before the pre-Emmys party.

The couple met at the Deauville Film Festival in France in 1998 after being introduced by Danny DeVito. They would be engaged the following year and then married at the Plaza Hotel in New York in November 2000.

The nominee for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series for The Russian Doll styled her ginger locks slightly messy and with lots of volume. 

Killing Eve co-stars Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer, who are both up for Lead Actress Emmys, were happy to share the spotlight side-by-side.

Oh looked classy in a black-patterned dress while Comer went the extreme opposite in white.

Looking summery in late September, Gina Torres, star of the political drama Pearson, wore a long white skirt with a matching plunging top and silver heels.

Nominated for Lead Actor for Chernobyl, Jared Harris and his wife Allegra Riggio, who’s a TV and radio personality, shared the spotlight while posing for the sea of photographers.

Harry Potter actress Fiona Shaw also opted for a white number for the event.
