Charges Against Michael Ray Get Reduced

Within four months of his arrest by police for a DUI, Michael Ray‘s charges have been reduced to reckless driving due to police error.

Prosecutors have concluded that Lake County police did not conduct their field-sobriety tests correctly.

The incident occurred on December 20 at 4 a.m. EST at a McDonald’s drive-thru after Ray ran into the vehicle in front of him in line.

Ray, whose real name is Michael Ray Roach, was arrested on charges of driving under the influence and drug possession.

The officers allegedly did not give Ray the proper instructions for sobriety testing, and never told the singer about the further investigation.

While the DUI charge was dropped, the count for felony marijuana possession will still be charged to him.
