Cheryl LOSES out on Mum of the Year title to influencer

The Love Made Me Do it songstress had been in line to win the 2019 Mum of the Year award after making the shortlist.

Alongside Holly Willoughby, Rochelle Humes and Vogue Williams, Cheryl entered the final round of the public voted contest.

However, in a shock twist, the Chezza, 35, lost out on the title to relatively unknown YouTube star Roxanne Hoyle.

Roxanne is the wife of fellow YouTuber Mark Hoyle and makes up one half of comic family group LadBaby, who took home last year’s Christmas No1 with their rendition of We Built This City.

Gushing over her win, Roxanne said: “I am so honoured and flattered to be chosen as Clas Ohlson’s Celebrity Mum of the Year.

“Being up against the likes of Holly Willoughby and Kate Middleton is just crazy.

“I’m not really sure how I’m even in the same category as such superstars and princesses but it’s incredible to be recognised as a top mum.”

The proud parent added: “At the end of the day I’m just like every other mum in the country that’s trying to do the best for their kids and give them the very best start in life.

“It isn’t always easy when you’re dealing with daily tantrums and supermarket meltdowns but there’s nothing a Baby Shark dance can’t fix.”

Cheryl became a mum for the first time in 2017 after giving birthday to Liam Payne’s son Bear Grey Payne.

Despite splitting a year later, Liam and Cheryl have remained friends in order to put the best interests of the youngster first.

Gushing over becoming a mum, Cheryl said: “He has got a cheeky side.

“He is a charmer. He knows he is cute.

“But he is calm. Everyone who meets him is like, ‘How is he so calm?'”
