Coronation Street fans were dealt a devastating blow on Monday night, after Natasha Blakeman died in a shocking twist.
Viewers were left ‘sobbing’ after tear-jerking scenes saw Nick Price and his son Sam learn that Natasha hadn’t survived an operation to repair her internal bleeding, after she was accidentally shot by drug dealer Harvey Gaskell.
Natasha’s death, which was kept a closely-guarded secret by soap bosses, left many fans floored following the tragic death of Johnny Connor in the finale of the annual Super Soap Week, with the Underworld boss drowning in the sewers.

Monday’s double bill saw Natasha (played by Rachel Leskovac) rushed to hospital in the wake of the shooting, with Nick’s partner Leanne wracked with guilt given she was Harvey’s intended target.
Moving scenes saw Nick break the news of his mum’s injury to his son Sam, leaving him fearful of whether his mum would survive.
At first it seemed that Natasha could pull through, with doctors planning an operation to stop her internal bleeding, and the mother shared a tear-jerking farewell with young Sam before heading into surgery.

But in a bombshell twist, the end of the episode saw doctors tell both Nick and Sam that they couldn’t stop Natasha’s internal bleeding, and she had died during the surgery.
Viewers quickly took to social media to share their heartbreak around Natasha’s death, with many praising young actor Jude Riordan’s performance as Sam.

Natasha made a surprise return to Corrie last year with the news for ex Nick that they had a son together, and her exit hadn’t been revealed by bosses.
