Damon Thomas Calls Ex-Wife Kim Kardashian ‘Irresponsible’ Over Her Ecstasy Claims About Him

In a new interview, the music producer, who married the reality TV star from January 2000 to February 2004, discusses Kim’s claims that he was high on ecstasy while the two were getting married.

AceShowbizDamon Thomas reflected on his marriage to Kim Kardashian in the early 2000s. During an interview with DJ Vlad, he discussed all the false narratives about his past relationship with “The Kardashians” star.

In the interview, Damon shared that he’s played a “part in their journey. However, the 51-year-old claimed that he didn’t want to be known as “Kim Kardashian’s husband.” He also noted that he wanted to “get in control of [his] narrative” as many people fail to recognize he has won Grammys and even made it to the Oscars.

He later touched on Kim’s claims that he was high on ecstasy while the two were getting married. She made the allegations in an episode of her family’s reality show “Keeping Up with the Kardashians“. “I did ecstasy once and I got married,” Kim told Scott Disick and her younger sister Kendall Jenner while referencing her marriage with Damon. Of the claims, Damon said, “I didn’t know what ecstasy was; that’s her.”

Damon further criticized the SKIMS founder for the remarks. “I think it’s irresponsible for her to kind of mention that in a joking way, because the media, when you’re one of the biggest stars in the world, they pick that up and they attach that to the black man,” he added. “That’s a young white kid drug back in 99. Black people didn’t know what that was. So, let’s be clear. That ain’t got nothing to do with me.”

The music producer also felt that it was “unfair” of Kim to make that kind of statement in the first place. “I think it’s unfair to make those kind of blanket statements because we have kids now, you know? I have children. My kid goes to the same school her kid goes to. So imagine him when he has to deal with that at school,” he ranted.

He went on to add that the 41-year-old billionaire “should be more responsible with those statements” because “there’s a lot more to that subject and those things.” He continued, “I can go into that and blow up the spot but I wouldn’t. And I’ve been very responsible in not talking about what that marriage was or what it meant to me.”

“Because it happened in the past, you can try to sweep it under the rug, but you don’t stay married to somebody or be with somebody for four to five years and it’s just based off you getting high off of ecstasy, you know what I mean?” he added. “That doesn’t make any sense at all.”

Thomas and Kardashian were married from January 2000 to February 2004. Despite everything, Damon shared he’s “proud of [Kim]” and “proud of her family.” He also said that he spoke to Kris Jenner “a couple times” throughout the years.
