‘Darkest Hour’ director and ‘Girl on the Train’ star expecting a baby

Director Joe Wright and “The Girl on the Train” star Haley Bennett are expecting a baby, sources told Page Six exclusively.

We first reported earlier this year that the British “Darkest Hour” director and Hollywood actress Bennett were dating as the two made the rounds together on the awards circuit in the lead up to his film winning a pair of Oscars.

Sources are now buzzing that beautiful Bennett is pregnant, and Wright’s moved to the States.

“They’re expecting a baby this winter,” said a pal, adding that Bennett’s about six months along. Another pal said, “They are very happy.”

Bennett glowed, we hear, when she and Wright attended a New York Film Festival screening over the weekend of Polish filmmaker Pawel Pawlikowski’s latest, “Cold War,” which is being tipped as a Best Foreign Language Film contender after he won best director at Cannes.

Bennett posted of the Amazon Studios film, “Joe and I [had] the chance to preview [‘Cold War’] last night at #NYFF . . . I humbly suggest you see this little masterpiece when it arrives in select theaters in December.”

Like a Stalin-era “A Star Is Born,” the 1940s-set movie follows a jazz pianist and a budding sultry singer played by Joanna Kulig. Kulig performed at a party for the film at restaurant Lincoln, as well as at a lunch on Monday at Bice Cucina. Sources said that Kulig’s also expecting a baby, with her partner Maciej Bochniak. Also at Lincoln were Salman Rushdie, Gay Talese, Noah Baumbach, Mira Nair and Jodie Foster.

Bennett publicly revealed her relationship with Wright last month, posting a photo of the pair kissing and the caption “Cling to me, Joe, my bliss.”

Other recent pics seem to strategically cover any evidence of a baby bump.

Wright split from his stunning musician wife Anoushka Shankar last year after seven years of marriage.

They have two kids. She’s the daughter of legend Ravi Shankar and the half sister of Norah Jones.

Wright’s currently filming “The Woman in the Window,” starring Amy Adams, Julianne Moore and Gary Oldman.
