He has been isolating with his family in their Cotswolds home and has often shared snaps of his culinary delights while he hones his cooking skills in lockdown.

And now it seems that he could put his skills to the test in his very own food show after being inspired by best pal Gordon Ramsay.

According to The Sun, the former England ace is hoping to develop the ‘interactive format’ with his own media company Studio 99, which he launched in 2019.

A source told the publication: ‘One of the unintended benefits of lockdown for David has been the opportunity to do what he loves most – baking.

‘He’s been recreating some of his mum’s old recipes, and got a load of pots and pans for his birthday recently.’

The insider went on to add David, who has been doing Instagram lives with pal Gordon, is inspired by his success and Gordon has only been too happy to offer advice.
