England release passionate video ahead of World Cup opening match

England have released a passionate and moving video ahead of their World Cup opener with Tunisia, in which the team insist: ‘We’re going to Russia to win!"

The Three Lions’ World Cup campaign kicks off on Monday evening at the Volgograd Stadium – and, according to the clip, Gareth Southgate’s boys are raring to go.

Everyone from Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford, playing in his first World Cup, to Chelsea veteran Gary Cahill say a few words in the footage.

Dele Alli, Jordan Pickford, and John Stones reflect on growing up as England fans as a source of motivation for going all the way in Russia.

While Kyle Walker, Ashley Young and Rashford discuss the importance of the fans getting behind the nation and cheering them on in both Russia and England.

Raheem Sterling adds: "From day one, it’s got to be the whole nation together.

"I can’t stress it enough – once there’s a positive energy in the camp and a positive energy outside and everyone can see that, you’ll see how special that little things can actually do for a team.

"I think that’s a good message to put across. Let’s be one as a nation and support everyone, every single player in the squad, if you think they should be in the squad or not, let’s just support everyone."

After England’s Group G game against Tunisia, the Three Lions take on tournament minnows Panama before concluding things against Belgium.
