Flaming Lips To Ring In 2019 In An Underground Cavern

Psychedelic rock band, The Flaming Lips recently added a post-tour date on New Years’ Eve.

Set to be held at the underground caves at the base of Monteagle Mountain known as the “The Caverns” in Pelham, Tennessee, tickets for the show go on sale at 11 AM on Saturday, September 22.

Recently, frontman Wayne Coyne sat down with LEO music to speak about their latest album, a carefully curated collection of their greatest hits, dubbed Greatest Hits, Vol. 1.

“It was definitely fun to be able to immerse ourselves in older Flaming Lips music, some of which we hadn’t heard since we first recorded it,” said Coyne. “There were so many times that we’d be like, ‘Jesus, what the f**k is that? That’s insane!’ We were truly surprised by just how ridiculous and free and un-normal it all is.”

The band is set to play next at the Arizona State Fairgrounds on October 6.
