Silver fox George Clooney has been crowned by Brits the world’s ‘Sexiest Grey’ according to new research.
The actor, 61, who has been rocking the look since 2009, beat fellow stars Idris Elba, 50, Helen Mirren, 77 and Jamie-Lee Curtis, 64, to the top spot.
And it seems Brits are now embracing their greys, with a third of over 40s admitting that natural grey hair is more attractive than dyed locks.

Harriet Scott, from Perspectus Global who complied the research said: ‘The survey findings suggest Brits believe silver is sexy, and it is great to see how many are now ditching the hair dye and embracing their natural colour.
Adding: ‘It is also great to see George Clooney come top in the poll, along with so many other gorgeous grey stars.’
George previously spoke about his silver locks and said he would never consider reaching for hair dye as he plans to ‘age gracefully’.

He told E! News: ‘I don’t think it would make much sense, quite honestly…I’ve seen it happen and…particularly on men, I don’t think it really works well. I actually think it makes you look older.’
Coming in second place on the list was Oscar winner Helen Mirren, who decided to embrace her natural colour after playing her role as Queen Charlotte in The Madness of King George in 1994.
Other stars who have embraced natural hair include American actors Richard Gere and Meryl Streep.

Elsewhere in the research 20% believed grey hair to look mature and sophisticated, while 36% believe it is now more acceptable to go grey and that there is less stigma about not covering up them up.
