Gillian Anderson is now a fashion designer

The truth is out there, and so is Gillian Anderson‘s new clothing line.

The “X-Files” star, 50, announced on Twitter on Tuesday that she has teamed up with the brand Winser London to produce a capsule collection that will be available in stores and online September 1.

“I’m so thrilled to finally be able to share my new @winserlondon capsule collection!” the actress tweeted. “This week I’ll be highlighting a few of my pieces and sharing some design sneak peeks. I want to live in them and I hope you do too!”

Anderson also released the first image of herself wearing one of her own designs, a chocolate and ivory roll-neck sweater that will retail for approximately $250.

It’s clear Anderson has put a lot of thought into every piece. “I love boxy sweaters that you can hide in but that still hint at your silhouette,” she wrote on Instagram. “Also being small, so many sweaters are too long for me so it was really important to me where this sweater sits on the hip. Hopefully it hangs perfectly on everyone. It was also vital that the roll neck did not either feel too bulky and saggy or too constricting but that you can still get your head through it!”

Sounds like Mulder might be getting some new knitwear this holiday season.
