Helen McCrory made her final TV appearance last month on Good Morning Britain, shortly before her heartbreaking death.

The Peaky Blinders actress’ tragic death age 52 was announced by her husband Damian Lewis on Friday 16 April.

Shortly before her tragic passing, Helen made a joint TV appearance on the ITV alongside her husband Damian, 50, in March to discuss their recent charity work.

Helen and Damian had kept themselves busy during lockdown as they worked with the Prince’s Trust, of which the couple are both ambassadors.

As Helen and Damian appeared on Good Morning Britain via video link Kate Garraway asked the actress: “Are you alright Helen? You sound a bit croaky, have you got a sore throat?”

To which Helen joked: “No I’ve got children.” Kate, who recently shared an update on her husband Derek Draper, and her GMB co-host Ben Shepherd laughed as Kate said: “You’ve been shouting at them!”

Actress Helen then continued: “And no hairdresser, no makeup artist so if there’s a young person out there who would like a bit of help, phone up Prince’s Trust and come straight over here.”

The resurfaced clip comes after Damian announced the tragic news that his wife had died from cancer age 52.

Damian took to Twitter to share the heartbreaking news, as he said: “I’m heartbroken to announce that after an heroic battle with cancer, the beautiful and mighty woman that is Helen McCrory has died peacefully at home, surrounded by a wave of love from friends and family.

“She died as she lived. Fearlessly. God we loved her and know how lucky we are to have had her in our lives. She blazed so brightly. Go now, Little One, into the air, and thank you.”

Helen, who also appeared in Harry Potter, has been flooded with tributes from celebrity friends.

Peaky Blinders actor Cillian Murphy lead the kind messages as he said in a statement to the PA news agency: “I am broken-hearted to lose such a dear friend.

“Helen was a beautiful, caring, funny, compassionate human being.

“She was also a gifted actor – fearless and magnificent. She elevated and made humane every scene, every character she played.

“It was a privilege to have worked with this brilliant woman, to have shared so many laughs over the years.

“I will dearly miss my pal. My love and thoughts are with Damian and her family.”

“I so loved our time on #PeakyBlinders. She was witty, kind, skilled. Riotously funny.. and so damn cool. So young. Heartbroken for Damien + her family.”
