Babatúndé Aléshé has become the fifth star to be eliminated from I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here! 2022.

After conquering his fear of heights earlier in the series, the comedian bid farewell to the camp after ending up in the bottom two with Seann Walsh.

As he took his seat in the treehouse for his interview, Babatúndé was so excited to have left the camp that he spilled his glass of champagne.

Following his exit, Babatunde told hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly that he was thrilled to be out of the camp after two and a half weeks.

He said: ‘It’s been crazy to see it because living in it is a whole new expereince. Spending two and a bit weeks in there is hardcore. All we do is talk about food.’

After struggling with his first challenge of the series, Walk The Plank, Babatunde admitted he feared for his future in the jungle after pulling out of the trial.

He said: ‘I thought it was going to be a trainwreck, I’ve been dreading each and every trial.’

However Babatunde eventually overcame his fear of heights to earn 11 stars in the first trial, and even faced his phobia of toads.

He told Ant and Dec: ‘I feel like I’m more scared of toads now than I was. I knew it was going to come, I thought if I made it far I’d have to lie in a box with a bunch of toads, when they came in I thought ”you guys are evil!”

As he bid farewell to his campmates, Babatunde said: ‘You guys have made me feel brave. I’ve conquered two of my biggest fears, which is frogs.

‘I know it’s hilarious but I hate those little demons, and heights.

‘And every single last one of you, I’m going to, you know, cherish for the rest of my life. This has been the best experience I’ve ever had. Thank you to everybody.’

Earlier in the show, Seann Walsh reflected on ‘the worst month of his life’, which came in the weeks following his Strictly Come Dancing kissing scandal.

The comedian, 36, found himself at the centre of a media firestorm when he was photographed kissing Katya Jones while she was married to husband Neil, and he was in a relationship with now ex-girlfriend Rebecca Humphries.

Speaking to Babatunde, Seann revealed that after the scandal he was booked to perform at a 200-person venue in Edinburgh, but was horrified when he learned that there were just 30 people in attendance.

Reflecting on the most difficult moment in his career, Seann told Babatunde: ‘Easily the most depressing month of my entire life, Edinburgh after Strictly.

‘We get to Edinburgh, right, I think it’s a 200-seater, I’ve never not in Edinburgh sold out the first night.

Tough time: Speaking to Babatunde, Seann revealed that after the scandal he was booked to perform at a 200-person venue, but learned there were just 30 people in attendance

‘It doesn’t even occur to me that it’s not sold out. Just before I’m about to go on, my agent comes in and goes, ”Just so you know, there’s like 30 people.”

‘To get told that when you’re just about to go on… horrific. It was at that point I was like, ”Oh, oh..”

Babatúndé said: ‘Oh, they don’t like me.’

Seann added: ‘My career was dead, I was over.’

In the Bush Telegraph Babatúndé added: ‘We love joking and making things seem as though it’s always good, it’s always funny. A lot of the times we never talk about some of the hardest times.’

Difficult: Babatúndé added of his own career: ‘I stopped because I had a mental block. I can’t come up with new stuff’

Seann continued: ‘My agent said, ”There’s nothing I can do. I’m sorry, I’ve tried. I’ve tried everything.”

‘Do you know what I did, I thought, I’ve got to learn to drive. I can’t sit on trains, with people looking at me going, ”Is that the guy that used to…?”

‘I’ve got to learn to drive now as I’ve got to hide. Genuinely. I mean that, I swear on my life. I can’t be on trains.’

Babatúndé added of his own career: ‘I stopped because I had a mental block. I can’t come up with new stuff. I just can’t come up with new jokes, it’s just not happening for me. I lost the love.’

Seann in the Bush Telegraph said: ‘There are the highs in comedy but there are the lows. It’s not been an easy ride for either of us.’
