I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here has been dealt a blow as it's been reported that camp mate AJ Pritchard has tested positive for COVID-19.

The former Strictly Come Dancing professional, who is set to be part of this year's show located in Wales, has been self-isolating with his girlfriend Abbie Quinnen near to the castle.

But it's believed he received a positive routine test just days before the launch of the show, which could throw his position in the line-up into question if he has to quarantine.

According to a source AJ and Abbie are waiting for confirmation to rejoin filming which begins on Sunday after the cast is officially announced.

ITV production have been carrying out routine tests for all cast and crew, and AJ's test reportedly came back positive.

The source told the Sun: "The ITV production team have gone to incredible lengths all year to make sure everything is carried out safely and with as minimal risk to the cast and crew as possible.

“There is little room for error. If several stars are struck down, particularly one of the older ones, then it would throw the whole show into jeopardy and be very problematic.”

Representatives for AJ Pritchard and ITV have been contacted by OK! Online.
