The incredible three-man club Kylian Mbappe is set to join in World Cup final
Kylian Mbappe is set to make history on Sunday when France take on Croatia in the World Cup final.
The Paris Saint-Germain striker will go on to become just the third teenager ever to play in football’s showpiece match.
Mbappe, 19, has enjoyed an incredible tournament so far and is the favourite to win the Golden Ball and be named as the competition’s best player.
He has scored three goals so far in the World Cup as France topped their group before brushing aside Argentina, Uruguay and Belgium in the knockout stages.
Mbappe will join Pele, who appeared in the 1958 final as a 17-year-old, and right-back Giuseppe Bergomi who played for Italy aged 18 in 1982.
The Frenchman will be hoping to have a similar impact on the final to that of Pele 60 years ago.
He struck twice as Brazil beat Sweden 5-2 to emphatically introduce himself to the world.
Pele remained the only teen to play in the final for 24 years before Bergomi started in Italy’s defence against West Germany in Madrid.
He played the full 0- minutes as the Azzurri won 3-1 thanks to strikes from Paolo Rossi, Marco Tardelli and Alessandro Altobelli.
