Ivanka and Jared party with Stanley Cup champions
It’s a capital affair!
First Daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner ran into the Washington Capitals at a DC hotspot Saturday night — and bought the team a round of shots, a source familiar with the encounter told The Post.
The couple was on a date night at Café Milano in Georgetown when the Stanley Cup winners spotted them.
“I am eating at the bar at Café Milano and the Champion Caps and Javanka are here. Top that,” tweeted Zach Hanover at 8.15 p.m., along with a video of Ivanka, in a demure sky blue dress, greeting the hockey players.
The team was at the restaurant on an unofficial no-holds-barred victory tour. Amused diners filmed them using their trophy as a giant champagne goblet and leading a rendition of “We are the champions.”
After introductions, the first-time champs invited Jared and Ivanka to a private dining room in the restaurant and the group took a picture.
Capitals Captain Alex Ovechkin posed front and center with the cup, standing next to a beaming Ivanka and surrounded by the rest of the players, a photo tweeted by Philip Pritchard showed.
“They all started chanting ‘Trump, Trump, Trump,” the source said.
Though the Caps haven’t been formally invited to the White House yet — and one player, Devante Smith-Pelly, said he wouldn’t show if they were — the group, “told Jared and Ivanka they looked forward to seeing them at the White House,” the source said.
The polite couple ended up thanking the team for their hospitality with Tequila Patron shots, according to the source.
“Jared said they bought 27 shots of Patron,” the source said.
Earlier in the day, Ovechkin did a keg stand using the Cup at Nick’s Riverside Grill and took a dip in a fountain with some teammates.
