Jane Fonda, 84, debuts red hair and stands out from the crowd in a vibrant floral blazer as she is seen for the first time on the set of Book Club 2 in Rome

She is reprising her role as Vivian in the sequel to comedy drama, Book Club.

And Jane Fonda was pictured on set for the first time as filming began on the second movie, as she was seen sporting new red locks while shooting in Villa Borghese Park in Rome, Italy, on Wednesday.

The Grace and Frankie star, 84, who has been seen with silver tresses in recent years including recently at an FYC event for the show, was easy to spot in a vibrant floral blazer with yellow lapels as she strolled through the park.

Jane wore the blazer over a black turtleneck and flared trousers with a pair of heeled boots, while she accessorised with a gold chain necklace.

The actress accessorised with a pair of oversized tinted glasses and toted a yellow jacket over her arm, while carrying also toting a black handbag.

Jane was surrounded by members of the crew and several cameramen as they filmed in the Italian sunshine.

Book Club is a comedy which follows book club attendees Jane, Diane Keaton, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen who read Fifty Shades of Grey.

She told Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM Radio channel Radio Andy: ‘I love them, and I guess we’re doing Book Club 2 because the film was incredibly successful.

‘We’re kind of obsessed with each other because none of us had ever worked together, and there had been these little meetings over the years between all of us, but the stories are so incredible.” 

‘And also I love it because I’m the baby of the group, so it’s really nice to like, for once in my life be the youngest.’
