Katie Price blasted for ‘PR stunt’ as she shares snap of Harvey after coke shame

Katie Price has been slammed for sharing a picture of herself with just her eldest son Harvey as critics claimed she was ‘using’ him in the wake of her drugs shame.

The mum of five, who over the weekend was alleged to have snorted cocaine to deal with the breakdown of her third marriage to Kieran Hayler, shared the cute snap of Harvey, 16, kissing her cheek.

But while many of her fans loved the adorable photo, others accused her of using her disabled son as a "PR" exercise to get herself some positive publicity.

"Another token photo of the kids, PR stunt again after the cocaine release," one follower commented under the picture.

"Poor Harvey is used to the hilt when she wants positive press," said another.

And a third wrote: "Do you not think she should have learned after how many marriages to not do it all over again. Rather than snorting lines, she should be enjoying what time her mom has left. Not making headlines about being a drug user."

It came after Katie allegedly turned to booze and drugs in the wake of Kieran cheating on her with their children’s nanny, Nikki Brown.

A source told The Sun : "Katie has admitted she dabbled in cocaine to numb her pain. Her behaviour got a bit wild and she was boozing too much, and on a couple of occasions took cocaine. The drug is obviously quite widespread in certain social circles and friends introduced her to it.

"She used it when she’d been drinking and it was her way of coping, to blot things out. She was in a tough place emotionally, but knows that is no excuse. She is ashamed of what she did and has taken swift action to clean up her act."

The insider added that Katie only ever used the Class A drug "socially" and was not addicted to it.

They said she never exposed her five children – Harvey, Junior, Princess, Jett and Bunny – to it.

Katie, who shares son Jett, four, and Bunny, three, with Kieran, is said to have hit rock bottom after discovering messages on Kieran’s phone when she secretly unlocked it with his finger while he was sleeping.

She would down vodka and wine at home to deal with her feelings, but pals said she gave up the destructive behaviour with the help of new boyfriend Kris Boyson and her terminally ill mum Amy Price.

"She hasn’t touched anything for months," added the source.
