Kylie explained:  ‘We tend to do things fairly small as a family, but she had eight children, and a lot of them have children, so we had relatives there from North Queensland who we don’t get to see very often. It was a very beautiful day.

‘We had a Welsh male choir there. Some of those old fellas had sung at her 80th – it was very touching.’

The singer added that Paul coped well with meeting so many of her family members, and as he hails from Caerphilly, South Wales, he was touched by the Welsh elements in the celebrations, which honoured Kylie’s nan’s Welsh roots.

Brave! The pop star’s grandmother turned 100, and Paul accompanied her for a large celebration featuring dozens of Minogue family members. ‘There were so many extended family for him to meet. He did very well,’ the Spinning Around hitmaker said

London-based Kylie also told the magazine that she misses Australia dearly, and while she does not currently have a house Down Under, she hopes to buy one where she and Paul can stay.

‘I don’t have a home there now – I stay at my parents’ house – but it’s different now as a 52-year-old woman with a partner… I’d want my own space. It’s an absolute dream to have a place in Australia’, she said.

It comes after a report claimed that Kylie and Paul are ‘talking marriage’.

New Idea reported that the Australian pop star and her beau of two years are considering a wedding Down Under.

The magazine alleges the pair are in a ‘love bubble’ in London, with Kylie never having felt, ‘so happy and secure’.

The pair hope to wed in Melbourne where Kylie’s family is based, the magazine quotes an alleged source as saying, but are waiting to see how the pandemic pans out in the hard-hit state.

Comfy: ‘I don’t have a home there now – I stay at my parents’ house – but it’s different now as a 52-year-old woman with a partner… I’d want my own space. It’s an absolute dream to have a place in Australia’, she said

‘Family is so important to Kylie, so she wants her mum and dad and siblings to be at her wedding,’ the source claims.

‘She and Paul are monitoring the situation in Victoria closely because they obviously want to wait until they can fly home safely and not put anyone else at risk.’

The couple have been going from strength to strength since they first laid eyes on each other when they were introduced through mutual friends in February 2018.

Kylie met Paul – who works as GQ magazine’s creative director – following the breakdown of her relationship with Joshua Sasse.
