Lily Allen shares snap of scalded finger after pouring hot oil on it

Lily Allen shares painful-looking snap of her scalded finger after revealing she accidentally poured hot oil on it

She’s enjoying quite the celebratory start to the year, after celebrating 18 months of sobriety last month – hot on the heels of marrying her beau David Harbour.

But Lily Allen was left nursing a small, albeit painful-looking, wound on Friday morning, as she took to Instagram to share a snapshot of her scalded finger.

The singer, 35, posted a brief clip of the bright red mark left behind on her index finger, as she explained in an accompanying caption: ‘I poured hot oil on my finger.’

She zoned in on the mark in the video, which showed her dazzling engagement and wedding rings resting on the opposite end of her manicured hand.

The post comes after more positive news when Lily, who has been open about her addiction battle, shared last month that she had been 18 months sober.

She had been honoured with a special key-ring from the Narcotics and Alcoholics Anonymous fellowship for successfully reaching the important milestone.

In posts on her Instagram, Lily shared an image of the key-ring given to mark momentous dates as well as a selfie showing her holding the fellowship gift over her eye.

Embossed on the key-ring’s grey leather was the message: ‘Clean and serene for eighteen months.

Lily shared a shot while holding the token alongside a gushing caption reading: ’18 months clean and sober today. Would recommend!’

The milestone comes weeks after Lily revealed she debated trying heroin when she ‘hit rock bottom’ during her 2014 supporting stint on Miley Cyrus’ Bangerz tour.

The singer spoke to DJ Fat Tony on his The Recovery podcast about her sobriety journey, including her rock bottom, as she touched on the tour and how she felt – turning to drink, drugs and prostitutes.

She said: ‘I was supporting this girl who was much younger and more attractive than I felt. I was thinking, “I think I have got a drinking problem. And none of this acting out is working any more. Maybe I should try heroin.”‘

She then turned to drugs to lose weight after climbing to 14st, adding: ‘I started taking a drug which is like speed to lose the weight and I got addicted to this drug because it made me feel invincible.

‘And then I ended up on tour in America supporting Miley Cyrus… It was when she was doing Wrecking Ball – it was a highly sexualised tour.

‘I had just spent the last three years pushing babies out. It couldn’t have been less what I felt like. I had never supported anyone…

‘I was re-entering this phase of being a pop star again but not doing it on my terms any more. I was supporting this girl who was much younger and more attractive than I felt. I just started acting out in all manner of ways.’

Private! Lily recently said that her Las Vegas wedding to David Harbour was supposed to be a ‘very private’ affair but Nevada Clark County tweeted their marriage certificate

Last year, Lily revealed that her wedding to David Harbour, 45, was supposed to be a ‘very private’ affair, but Nevada Clark County tweeted their marriage certificate.

The singer married the Stranger Things star at the iconic Graceland Chapel in Las Vegas in September with the couple planning to keep the nuptials a secret.

Speaking on the Sex, Lies & DM Slides podcast recently, the star joked that ‘what happens in Vegas, gets tweeted out by Vegas’.

Lily said: ‘We didn’t plan to announce it to anyone, it was meant to be a very private affair we were leaving Vegas and driving to Los Angeles and Nevada Clark County tweeted our marriage certificate.’

Family man: The Stranger Things star also admitted that life with Lily and her daughters Ethel, nine, and Marnie, seven, has made him feel ‘like more of a man’

She quipped: ‘So that saying, “what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas”, what happens in Vegas gets tweeted out by Vegas!’

The star added that she never planned to marry in Vegas and that due to COVID-19 lockdown it was one of the few places able to do weddings.

Lily joked: ‘So it seemed to be the only place that was stupid enough to have ceremonies so… it happened!’

Making their nuptials a true classic Las Vegas affair, the lovebirds were married by an Elvis Presley impersonator.
