Liverpool fans troll club’s official Twitter post for same reason
Liverpool fans have trolled their club’s recent Twitter activity by making the same joke.
On Friday evening the club revealed that both Emre Can and Jon Flanagan would be leaving Anfield in the summer.
The official club Twitter account posted: "Emre Can and Jon Flanagan will both leave the club upon the expiry of their contracts this summer.
"Everybody at LFC thanks all departing players for their contributions and wishes them the best of luck for the future."
The Reds have already moved to bolster their squad by bringing in Fabinho. Naby Keita will also join this summer having agreed his transfer to Anfield last year.
It looks increasingly likely that Liverpool will also bring in France international Nabil Fekir.
The 24-year-old has completed his medical and should seal a £53million switch to Anfield from Lyon.
And this seemed to be on the minds of Liverpool’s fans as the Reds announced the upcoming departures of Can and Flanagan.
The first reply to Liverpool’s tweet read: "This isn’t Fekir?"
Another fan simply tweeted: "THIS ISNT FEKIR."
