Love Island’s Amber Gill says her shade throwing could ‘solve global warming’

Global warming is an issue on everyone’s minds at the moment. Some think we can solve it with less plastic use, others say we should travel less. But, Love Island’s Amber Gill reckons she’s got the answer: shade throwing.

The 22 year old Love Island winner has said her “shade throwing” in particular could be the answer to the biggest question of our generation.

Amber’s sassy recommendation came in the form of a caption on an Instagram post of hers.

The photo she chose to pair the caption with was a sizzling snap of herself wearing a pink and yellow bikini on a Miami beach.

She then wrote alongside the photo: “Word on road Amber’s shade throwing could solve global warming.” [sic]

The stunning bikini shot received more than 161,000 likes in less than an hour and enough fire emojis to melt the ice caps alone in the comment section.

And, when it comes to her comment about the shade throwing, she isn’t wrong as she’s recently been caught throwing shade at co-star George Rains, a mystery ex boyfriend and her former Love Island flame, Michael Griffiths.

In September, Amber was seen “liking” a tweet which was aimed at islander George, and claimed he “used” Yewande Biala.

The tweet in question read: “I told y’all that George was moving funny but y’all didn’t listen. [sic]

“'I’m busy' busy with what sir? Promoting uselessness on ig for a quick buck??? [sic]

“I knew you wasn’t on my sis level from the get-go. But you was camping on my sis ig story with your tent. So all this energy is smh.” [sic]

And just a few days before, Amber thanked an unnamed ex for “teaching her nothing” while at the launch of Ariana Grande’s Thank U Next perfume launch.

In a video captured by Yewande, Amber can be seen making a dig at one of her exes by writing: “One taught me nothing” and underlining the word “nothing”, which is a sassy twist to Ariana's lyrics from the hit song that the new perfume is named after.

Amber then signs off the shady dig with: “Thank U, Next Amber”, giving a nod to the song one again.

One ex she would thank though, is former firefighter Michael. In an interview with The Sun’s Fabulous magazine, Amber made a cutting dig at her ex by saying she hasn’t seen him since leaving the villa because she goes to “good events” which she “doesn’t think” Michael gets “invited” to.

After making the harsh comment, Amber added: “Eeh, that’s terrible!” and laughed.

She then added: “But no, he’s not been in touch. I don’t think I’m the easiest person to approach if you know I don’t like you.”

Amber was then asked what she would say if she were to bump into her former flame, to which she replied: “I’d say: ‘Thanks, hun, for making me win the show.’ I’ll not be mad – there’s nothing to be mad about now because the outcome couldn’t have been better for me.

“When I came out people were like: ‘You’ve been such an inspiration and a role model for girls,’ and that was lush for me. If someone does you wrong just get rid of them. It works out better for you in the end.”

This comes as Amber is set to launch her new MissPap range, and has been teasing her 2.8million Instagram followers with sneak peaks ahead of the release.

Amber showed off part of her promotional video for the collection on her Instagram story, where she was wearing a fuchsia pink one shoulder dress from her range.
