Mac Miller’s secret girlfriend says her heart is ‘shattered’ after shock death

Mac Miller’s secret girlfriend has paid tribute to her love following his shock death aged 26.

Julia Kelly, 22, shared a photo of the rapper resting his hand in her lap.

The Instagram model also shared a video of him playing piano and a text exchange from May this year – the month he split from Ariana Grande.

Mac, a platinum-selling US musician, was found unresponsive at his home in Los Angeles on Friday morning after a reported overdose.

"My heart is hurting. Shattered. Today I lost one of the most amazing humans that has ever entered my life," Julia wrote on Saturday.

She continued: "Malcolm McCormick, I would give anything to have you back. Our memories will never be erased.

"I am forever grateful for you. Thank you for your laughter and endless amounts of love. You brought me out of my shell and broke me free from my shyness.

"The most gentle soul. Your mind was like no other. Waking up next to you was a dream. Thank you for always making me feel at home

"I’m going to miss your sweet forehead kisses and affection. I would give anything to talk to you one last time and express my love. I love you forever, Malcolm."

Her post comes after Mac’s ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande also remembered the rapper.

The No Tears Left To Cry singer, 25, posted a captionless black and white photograph of the rapper looking up at the camera on her Instagram account, which has also had the comments disabled.

Ariana and Mac dated for around two years before breaking up in May.

Shortly after they parted ways, Ariana responded to a fan on Twitter who criticised her for dumping him and said their relationship had been "toxic".

She tweeted: "I am not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel that they need to be. I have cared for him and tried to support his sobriety & prayed for his balance for years (and always will of course) but shaming/blaming women for a man’s inability to keep his s*** together is a very major problem."

She also later said she and Mac shared "unconditional love" and that he was "one of my best friends in the whole world".

Mac performed with Ariana at a memorial concert following the 2017 Manchester Arena bombing and the pair released music together before their split earlier this year.

The LA coroner said the cause of the rapper’s death is yet to be determined and that a post-mortem examination will be carried out.

In a statement, his family said Mac was a "bright light in this world for his family, friends and fans".
