Man Utd release eight stars as Red Devils
Manchester United have released eight players after the club published their end of season retained list on the official Premier League website.
The Red Devils have also offered contracts to seven stars.
Michael Carrick is the biggest name on the released list after he announced his retirement earlier in the season.
Elsewhere, 19-year-old goalkeeper Max Johnstone and U23 defender Joe Riley have been let go, as has Theo Richardson who only signed for the club last year.
Marouane Fellaini is by far the most eye-catching star with the word "offer" next to him as the Belgium’s future remains shrouded in mystery.
It is understood the midfielder’s representatives have already held talks with Arsenal over a possible free transfer.
United have also offered new deals to U23 players Indy Boonen, Zac Dearnley, Ethan Hamilton and Callum Whelan.
Released: Michael Carrick, Max Johnstone, Jake Kenyon, Ilias Moutha-Sebtaoui, Devonte Redmond, Theo Richardson, Joe Riley and Charlie Scott have all been released by the club.
Contracts offered: Indy Boonen, Zachary Dearnley, Marouane Fellaini, Ethan Hamilton, Dean Henderson, Tosin Kehinde and Callum Whelan.
