Mark Wright showcases astonishing weight loss to rippling abs in just one month
Mark Wright has showed off his astonishing weight loss after just one month of hard work in a side by side comparison selfie.
The TOWIE star-turned-presenter has shed his extra pounds gained over the festive season and transformed his body to become more toned and muscular.
The 33-year-old took to Instagram to showcase his trim new figure, though he was careful to admit he wasn't overweight before.
The comparison shows him from 2nd January to 2nd February after improving his diet and working out in the gym three or four times a week.
"Now I’m not saying in the 1st picture I’m well out of shape but for me I wasn’t at my best for sure, plus I had probably just eaten, hence the bloat," he explained.
"December was all about relaxing more, indulging in Christmas food and toning down the regular visits to the gym.
Through January I tried my best to cut down on the indulgent foods and eat a bit more of what I know works better for me."
The former footballer added that he had a two-week holiday in the Caribbean around that time, with his wife Michelle Keegan, so he wanted to enjoy plenty of cocktails and not worrying about exercising.
But when he returned home, he "ate reasonably well" and went to the gym several times a week.
"January is always a hard time anyway to get straight back in to it after a whole month of Christmas foods and drinks," wrote Mark.
"I personally feel it’s too much of a drastic change, so I do what I can.
"February I will try to go even harder with both my diet and gym workouts so don’t feel bad if you haven’t started properly yet."
Mark has previously spoken about former Corrie actress Michelle's dedication to the gym and exercise, as she has faced criticism before from trolls branding her "too skinny".
He has also revealed he has been trolled in the past for being "too buff" and people urged him to eat more.
"Nobody should look down on anybody in this world who wants to train, be slim and look good," he said.
He concluded his Instagram post: "I hope I can inspire you to try them and hope you can take something from them.
"FEBUARY & ONWARDS IS YOUR TIME !! DO IT FOR YOU !! FEEL BETTER, FEEL HEALTHIER !! #TRAINWRIGHT".
Mark received some gentle ribbing from his showbiz pals in the comments.
Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan commented: "Which one’s the after pic?"
But supportive comments from Mark's fans included: "Solid bro", and "Looking good … well done".
"Nice one … I feel better about not achieving in January now. February will be better. Keep posting & motivating," gushed another.
