Megan Barton-Hanson slams ‘fame-hungry’ Wes Nelson for not loving her back

Love Island’s Megan Barton-Hanson believes Wes Nelson is to blame for their shock split – because he’s too desperate to be famous.

The 24-year-old reality star opened up about the breakdown of their six-month relationship, which came amid her intense jealousy over Wes’ Dancing On Ice partner Vanessa Bauer.

And, having slammed the DOI producers for pairing Wes with "the youngest, hottest girl", Meg then turned her ire to her former love.

"Our ambitions and goals in life are very different – Wes is younger than me and wrapped up in the fame bubble – but I still love him, which is why it hurts so much," she told OK! magazine.

"I fought and fought and fought for Wes but he doesn’t love me back."

Not only has Wes already moved out of the London flat they got together after last summer’s Love Island ended, he hasn’t even been in touch about the shared parenting of their pet hamster, Jon Snow.

"Wes hasn’t even called to find out how he is! I suppose we’ll have to have a custody battle for him," Megan added.

The former stripper hasn’t completely given up though – she was spotted out this weekend at a club in Brighton having a racous time with her former co-star Samira Mighty .

The pair let their hair down at Megan’s paid personal appearance at Shoosh, drinking the VIP area dry and guzzling from an enormous bottle of vodka before Megan twerked in front of the crowd.

She was eventually escorted out of the club by a mystery man, narrowly avoiding a wardrobe malfunction as her boob popped out of her dress.

Megan may well have more nights out like that on the cards if she’s still getting over Wes though, as the Dancing On Ice star has been sparking speculation of a blossoming romance with pro skater Vanessa.

The pair came in second on the leaderboard in last night’s live show, after performing a daring and intimate routine that saw Vanessa put her trust in Wes to carry out the terrifying headbanger move.

And viewers couldn’t believe how romantic their dance was, with many tweeting that they could see Wes and Vanessa becoming a couple off the ice.
