AceShowbizMetro Boomin has offered details about his mother’s memorial service. The record producer, who lost his mom Leslie Joanne Wayne earlier this month after she was killed by her husband, announced on social media that the ceremony will be held on Saturday, June 18.

The 28-year-old shared the information via Instagram Story on Thursday, June 16. “My Mother’s service is Saturday and the dress code is all cream attire,” he penned in his post. “And ladies please wear church hats. Text or DM me for info if you would like to come celebrate the life of my Queen.”

Many have since paid tributes. Among those offering their condolences are hip-hop duo Rae Sremmurd, who penned on Twitter, “Rest In Peace Trouble and Prayers to Metro Boomin and his family.” Fellow record producer Mike WiLL Made It wrote on his own account, “Prayers up for my brother @MetroBoomin.” Yung Baby Tate added, “Praying for Metro Boomin and his family.”

The Boominati Worldwide owner, whose real name is Leland Tyler Wayne, spoke highly of his mom in various interviews. When sitting down with The Fader back in 2016, he credited his mom for his regal birth name, Leland Tyler Wayne, which gave him self-pride in whatever profession he desired to pursue.

“My mom wanted to give me a name where, no matter what I wanted to do, I’d be able to do it,” the record executive told the publication at the time. “An astronaut. President. Whatever. Leland Wayne.”
