Nicki Minaj responds to viral 'picture' of her newborn son

Nicki Minaj has hit back over a viral tweet which falsely claimed to show a picture of her newborn son.

A fan of the singer shared a post featuring a newborn baby which also claimed to reveal the name of the rapper’s baby boy.

The post read: ‘Welcoming Jeremiah-Maraj-Petty, you are a blessing to us and we love you so much.’

But the Superbass rap star the record straight on Friday as she tweeted: ‘116K likes. Not my baby. Not his name. Imagine doing this. Pls delete this person’s child from your page.’

Her post came the day after she confirmed the birth to her first child.

The rap superstar and her husband Kenneth Petty quietly welcomed their son last month and the star took to Instagram to thank her famous friends for sending their well wishes.

In a post shared on Instagram on Thursday, the Anaconda hitmaker confirmed the sex of her child as she thanked her pals.

She wrote: ‘Thank you to Queen B, Kim & Ye, Riccardo Tisci, Winnie, Karol & everyone who sent well wishes during this time. It meant the world to me.

‘I am so grateful & in love with my son. Madly in love. My favorite liddo boy in the whole wide world.’

Nicki announced the happy news that that she was expecting earlier this year.

The 37-year-old couldn’t contain her joy as she shared a snap of her baby bump and wrote: ‘Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes.’
