Our Yorkshire Farms Amanda Owen shares sweet festive snap of children after tough year
Our Yorkshire Farm’sAmanda Owenhas shared a snap of her and her children enjoying their Christmas break.
The shepherdess, 47, who shares nine children with her husband Clive, 66, was all smiles as she and three of her kids posed for a selfie while wrapped up warm while out and about on the farm.
Amanda and Clive are parents to Raven, 20, Reuben, 17, Miles, 15, Edith, 12, Violet, ten, Sidney, nine, Annas, seven, Clemmie, five, and Nancy, four – who recently swallowed a biro by mistake.
Amanda captioned the photo she shared on Tuesday 28 December: “Busy times. Yesterdays selection of hoods & hats.”
The mum-of-nine’s 464,000 followers were quick to wish Amanda and her family all the best for the New Year, while commenting on how sweet the snap was.
“Adorable, wishing you all a fabulous New Year,” wrote one person.
“Loved your book! Wishing you all a very Happy & Healthy New Year! (Animals too of course!),” penned another.
“Love all those red faces, much love to you guys & hope you have had the most loveliest Christmas,” a third person added.
Meanwhile, another of her follower’s requested to see a photo of her and Clive together after news surfaced thatthe pair were going through a “rocky patch” earlier this year.
Following the claims, Amanda and Clive said in a joint statement provided to OK! in October: “With the TV show and the books we’ve always aimed to show the reality of life on the farm, and just like any marriage we have our stresses and strains, coupled with all the complexities of what we do on the farm and bringing up nine kids.
"We’re a normal family, and we’ve never said our marriage is perfect. Unfortunately the constant intrusion into our lives from the media has amplified a rocky patch that we’re going through. We ask that the media respect our privacy as we work through this.”
As well as sharing a photo of her and her kids, Amanda gave an update on how some of her sheep are doing over the festive period and revealed that some of her animals are suffering with “blind illness”.
Amanda quipped alongside a series of photos: “I see ewe.”
She continued: “A few cases of blind illness amongst the sheep needing treatment. Wind, snow and hay seeds make for irritation and infection. Only need one treatment and they are cured but they are fiendishly difficult to catch when their vision is limited.
“The shepherds crook comes into play in times such as these.”
In a video, Amanda showed herself tackling one of her sheep to the ground to get a closer look at it.
People went on to applaud Amanda for her “rugby” skills in the comments section.
