Piers Morgan rips into 'tone-deaf imbecile' Kim Kardashian over birthday
Piers Morgan is not one to mince his words when it comes to Kim Kardashian, and today really was no exception as he ripped into the star for jetting her nearest and dearest off on a tropical holiday to celebrate her 40th.
The Good Morning Britain host dubbed Kim a ‘tone-deaf imbecile’ in response to her birthday celebration post, after the reality star shared a series of snapshots that haven’t landed well with many.
Kind of really rubbing it in our faces that the majority of people are unable to voluntarily quarantine, take ‘multiple health screens’ and then take the time off work to go hang out on an island, Kim’s birthday celebration has too rubbed Piers up the wrong way.
It all went down on Tuesday night when Kim shared how ‘humble and blessed’ she was feeling after hitting the milestone year.
Wearing a gold minidress, she was then seen in several photos with friends and family, including sisters Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner as well as brother Rob Kardashian, as they partied for Kimmy.
In part, Kim explained: ‘After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time.’
Responding by quote-tweeting Kim’s message, Piers fumed on Wednesday morning: ‘This thread is so repulsive it makes me want to vomit.
‘Not that we needed confirmation but what a spoiled, tone-deaf imbecile.’
‘For my birthday this year, I couldn’t think of a better way to spend it than with some of the people who have helped shaped me into the woman I am today.’
‘Before COVID, I don’t think any of us truly appreciated what a simple luxury it was to be able to travel and be together with family and friends in a safe environment.
‘After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time.
‘We danced, rode bikes, swam near whales, kayaked, watched a movie on the beach and so much more. I realize that for most people, this is something that is so far out of reach right now, so in moments like these, I am humbly reminded of how privileged my life is. #thisis40.’
Maybe she should have invited Piers.
