Redknapp recalls hilarious Sir Alex Ferguson story to I’m A Celebrity campmates

Harry Redknapp recalled some hilarious management tales during his time in the jungle.

The former Tottenham and QPR boss is on ITV show I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here.

Redknapp has already left some of his campmates and viewers with his stories and Thursday night’s episode was no different.

Asked about modern-day players, he said: "You see all the young footballers with headphones on. They don’t talk or mix anymore."

Redknapp was then asked about the best fellow boss to enjoy a post-game drink with and his answer was not a surprise.

"Every manager after every game came in your office. Fergie was always great. He had a great bottle of wine. He would get something special in when you went there.

"I have been in his office at 2:45 for a 3pm kick-off. The teams would go out and he would have the racing on!

"I would sit there and he said I have got one in the 2:45. I said ‘Alex I have got to go’.

"But he wasn’t bothered because he would go and win and had such a good team."

Redknapp also told another story about his appearance on Sky Sports’ Soccer Saturday.

Chris Kamara was reporting live ahead of one of the matches and suggested Redknapp and assistant Jim Smith had been preparing – but they were anything but.

"I am in the office one day with Jim Smith. Chris Kamara is outside my door working for Sky," Redknapp told his campmates.
