Rita Ora attends a photocall for The Voice Australia
Rita Ora stuns in vintage inspired pink gown as she attends a photocall for The Voice Australia after completing mandatory two-week quarantine
- London-based singer Rita was allowed to leave the UK during lockdown on a work trip to Sydney 2
- The singer and actress had been isolating with her sister Elena, who works as a member of her entourage
- She is believed to be staying at the five star Meriton Suites Pitt Street hotel, which is one of Sydney’s tallest hotels
- It comes after Rita was branded ‘selfish’ by British police for hosting a lockdown-flouting 30th party in London at the end of November
- After the event, Rita paid the hefty £10K fine for breaching lockdown rules and issued a grovelling apology
Following a two week delay it was business as usual on Wednesday as Rita Ora attended a photocall for the forthcoming series of The Voice Australia.
The under-fire singer was forced to quarantine for 14 days after flying to Sydney for her latest role as a judge on the widely syndicated talent show.
But after adhering to Australia’s strict guidelines Rita, 30, was out in the city’s Central Business District ahead of its official launch, and she ensured she caught the eye.

Opting for a vintage themed pink gown, the singer inevitably turned heads as she arrived at upmarket restaurant Rockpool.
With a ruffled neck and distinctively tiered hemline, the pleated dress proved to be something of a highlight as she posed for onlookers outside the Hunter Street venue.
The promotional event gave Rita the opportunity to meet her fellow judges, with country singer Keith Urban, former Australian Idol star Guy Sebastian and singer Jessica Mauboy all in attendance.

It’s understood that blind auditions will be filmed next to the show’s Channel Seven headquarters in Sydney from Friday, February 19th.
After a break on Saturday, the auditions will resume on Sunday through to Tuesday, when ‘the four coaches will also record their group performance’.
The new season of The Voice Australia will air on Australian channel Seven after the network bought the rights away from its original commissioner, Channel Nine.

Rita’s involvement is already mired in controversy, amid claims she was given special treatment to allow her into Australia.
Australia’s shadow home affairs spokeswoman, Kristina Keneally, said Rita’s hotel stay meant her quarantine was at the expense of Australians seeking to return home.
The country’s strict Covid-19 laws only allow 4,250 international arrivals a week, which has meant about 37,000 Australian nationals are ‘stranded’ abroad unable to see their families.
Labor MP Keneally complained the singer was being given preferential treatment, saying: ‘It’s another example of Prime Minister Scott Morrison leaving Australians behind.’
‘There are still 40,000 Australians stranded overseas. Every celebrity who takes up a place in quarantine is a place denied to a stranded Australian,’ she added.

According to current rules listed on New South Wales’ official government site, quarantine is mandatory for all individuals landing in the state from abroad, with the exception of New Zealand.
A statement reads: ‘Under public health orders, people who arrive in Sydney from overseas or by vessel from another port outside of NSW must enter into quarantine in a designated accommodation facility for 14 days.’
Travellers are also subject to a quarantine fee of AU$4,000 for one adult, with AU$1,000 charged for each additional adult isolating with them. Children under 18 are charged AU$500, while those under three are free.
Hot water: Rita has already faced condemnation in the United Kingdom for hosting a 30th birthday party during the country’s third national lockdown

Rita’s appearance in Sydney comes after the singer’s lockdown-flouting 30th birthday bash in November came back to haunt her as she was branded ‘selfish’ by police.
The party came shortly after she flew by private jet to Cairo on November 21 to perform at the five-star W Hotel.
She returned the next day and under government quarantine rules should have self-isolated for 14 days. Instead, she threw a birthday party on November 28 at the exclusive Casa Cruz restaurant in London’s Notting Hill.
A hearing of Kensington and Chelsea Council’s licensing sub-committee heard how representatives for the singer offered the since-sacked manager £5,000 for the illegal opening – and the Notting Hill venue now faces losing its licence.
