Speaking exclusively to OK! online, the popular pair said they could never dream of following in the footsteps of the nation's favourite double act, but that they’re enjoying treading their own path instead.
Pete told us: “We don’t want to be like Ant and Dec, there’s only one Ant and Dec.”
He continued: “But, in the same breath, there’s only one Sam and Pete. We don’t want to be anyone else, we just want to do things that we enjoy. We’ve got a lot of ideas.”

Best mate Sam agreed, continuing that he hopes this is just the beginning of their work together.
Sam explained: “I love working with Pete. I skip to work when we’re filming Reality News together. It’s the most fun four hours.”
He added: “As long as that’s the case, I don’t really care where it takes us. All that matters is that we enjoy it.”

And Pete and Sam definitely had fun whilst filming their latest telly project – Channel 4’s The Celebrity Circle.
The show sees the duo moving in together to take part in the social media game where celebrities can choose to play as themselves or another famous face in aid of Stand Up To Cancer.
Other stars on the line-up include Loose Women’s Nadia Sawalha and Kaye Adams, Geordie Shore’s Charlotte Crosby and Denise Van Outen.
Opening up about the experience, Pete said he took some convincing to move in with energetic Sam, explaining he’s “like a Duracell Bunny.”
He laughed: “Sam wanted to do it together and I didn’t. Living with Sam was the most painful experience of my life!”
While Sam was much more positive about the experience, claiming they made the perfect team as they tried to convince the other celebrities that they were Rachel Riley.
The Celebrity Circle For Stand Up To Cancer is on nightly from Tuesday 9 March, 9.15pm, C4
