Saturday Night Takeaway: Ant and Dec get back to business (with Dec dressed as a woman!) in fun-filled trailer for the new series as they CONFIRM ITV show will return in February

Ant and Dec were back in business on Friday as they starred in a fun-filled trailer for the new series of Saturday Night Takeaway. 

The teaser clip for the ITV show, uploaded to their Instagram account sees the Geordie duo, both 45, don a variety of outfits – with Dec even dressing up as a woman complete with a blonde wig and gold dress. 

The pair also confirm the much-loved series will be back on screens next month as they excitedly penned in their caption: ‘The happiest ninety minutes of the week is back this February!’

Last year’s Saturday Night Takeaway was sadly cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic with the pair filming one episode without an audience before completing the series with two compilation specials.

However, this year, the show is back bigger than ever, with the clip teasing all the much loved segments from the popular show.

The trailer starts with Ant and Dec clad in casual ensembles before making a quick change into their usual sharp black suits.

Fun and chaos then ensues as snippets from segments including Win The Ads, Ant vs. Dec and the End of the Show Show are seen.

Also making an appearance is co-star Stephen Mulhern dressed in a glittering gold jacket – indicating his In For A Penny skit may be back for the series.   

Captioning the post, Ant and Dec’s said: ‘The happiest ninety minutes of the week is back this February! Who’s ready for the non-stop show show to be back on your telly?’

Earlier this week, Ant and Dec gave fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse of filming for the new series of Saturday Night Takeaway.

Ant and Dec couldn’t contain their excitement as they shared a snap from the Takeaway set with a clapper in hand. 

The pair captioned the post: ‘Dapper clappers at your Saturday Night service. A lil peek from promo filming to tickle your fancy. Excited!? @itvtakeaway @itv.’

It seemed Takeaway’s return was even sparking excitement from some of their celebrity pals, as Laura Whitmore commented with an applause emoji, while Amanda Holden shared a single heart.

Meanwhile, last week Ant and Dec revealed they’d begun filming for the new series of Takeaway as they shared a snap of a scene from an upcoming sketch. 

In the snap, Ant appeared to be in grave peril as he screamed while being trapped on the chair.

No doubt the sketch will be another star-studded serial, with last year’s, titled Men in Brown seeing the pair join an extraterrestrial agency fighting a shape-shifting alien threat.

Saturday Night Takeaway returns to screens in February on ITV.
