Stacey Solomon has to rethink son’s birthday plans as Butlin’s trip ‘cancelled’
Stacey Solomon has revealed a family trip to Butlin's for her son’s birthday has been "called off" due to the coronavirus outbreak.
The mum-of-three is currently resting at home due to the growing spread of COVID-19 virus, and admitted it’s unlikely their planned trip will go ahead on Saturday.
On her Instagram Story, Stacey, 30, admitted she was feeling nervous and didn’t have long to figure out a plan B for Zachary’s upcoming birthday.
Alongside a smiley snap of herself, the Loose Women star wrote: “Work has been cancelled today [laughing emoji] I’m smiling in this pic but I'm actually feeling really nervous… I’m going to take the boys to school, and spend the day working things out.
“So I’ll be off of my stories. I need to sort things out for Zachy’s birthday Saturday (we had booked to go to Butlins [laughing emoji] not going to happen) so need to think fast!”
Checking in on her fans, Stacey concluded: “I hope you’re all ok today. Look after yourselves. See you soon [heart emoji] love you all”.
Butlins’ official Twitter account posted a brief message to customers yesterday, and it seems nothing has been confirmed so far.
The message read: “Coronavirus update – March 16th. At Butlin's, the health and safety of our guests and team is our number one priority.
“We understand that you may be feeling unsettled given the rapidly changing situation around Coronavirus.
“We are watching and following the latest Government advice and are working hard on what this means for your holiday and will be in touch as soon as possible with an update.
“Our phone lines and social channels are extremely busy and we appreciate your patience while we work on this for you all. If your break is impacted, we will be in touch. Thank you again for your patience during this time.”
Butlin's has been contacted by Mirror Online for comment.
Stacey later shared a sweet video of her son baby Rex giggling in her company. She penned: “For anyone who needs to hear this sound today… Shopping was absolutely crazy. Thinking of everyone who is in need of essentials but people are clearing the bloody shelves.”
As a sweet gesture to try and make her fans smile, the star posted a vase of daffodils and admitted they were “#lockdownessentials”, despite the fact she couldn’t get her hands on pasta or rice.
Yesterday the devastated star shared her support with her three million fans as she discussed the ongoing crisis.
Speaking on her Story, she said: “I hope you’re not too worried and anxious about it all, because it is scary.
“But all we can do is be there for each other and look out for each other and try and make each other smile when we can. I really, really do hope you’re all alright.”
